Blown 14 point fourth quarter lead against A&M, fumble on the goal line against Alabama for what would have been the deciding score and a blown 10 point lead and an interception thrown in the end zone on the last drive against State.

3 choked losses that could have just as easily been wins. That's 10 wins.

Welcome to reality.

quote: To begin, they only have 11 on roster which seems kind of thin to begin with (not that our 13 is really that many more). The classification breakdown is 0 seniors, 3 Juniors, 3 Sophomores and 5 freshmen. The recruiting ranking breakdown is seven 3 stars and four 0 stars. Stars are not everything, but this leads to an average star rating of 1.82.

Looking at the juniors, only 2 of the guys have ever played a down, Brooks Ellis and Josh Williams. Brooks Ellis, a three star out of high school, is far and away the leading returning LB with 15 career starts and 105 career Tackles. Josh Williams, unrated out of hs, has seen action in 13 games with 2 starts and only 29 career tackles.

Only one of the sophomores have ever played and that is Khalia Hackett who appeard in 11 games, with no starts and only has 11 career tackles.

All told, the razorbacks only have 3 backers on the roster that have ever played a down of division one football. Those three players have a combined 17 career starts and 145 tackles with 88% of the starts and 72% of the tackles coming from one player (Brooks Ellis). Outside of Brooks Ellis, the entire unit has a grand total of 40 career tackles, playing time in 24 games and only 2 starts.

Comparing with their LB unit from last season is pretty interesting as well. They lost 4 LB's from last season: Daunte Carr, Braylon MItchell, Martell Spaight and Tiquention (all-sec name list right there) Coleman. Combined, these four accounted for 61% of the play and 60% of the tackles of the entire LB unit. In addition they account for 65% of the tackles for loss of the unit.

All said, this may be the worst linebacking unit I have seen in the sec west since we joined (and if you remember we had some pretty bad units). There are freshmen involved so there is room for them to surprise and maybe form a decent unit of really young guys, but I doubt it. Luckily for us, even if they are able to put together a serviceable unit, we get to play them very early on in the season so they will still be very green!

Who the hell wrote this? He's using star arguments for ppl long gone from high school. He would have said spaights sucked too bc of his rivals rating, but then he led the sec in tackling last year.

You arent ever winning 10 games under Bielema, the sooner you accept this, the easier it will be for you.

I see Auburn fans are still salty that Ark won the Brandon Allen/Kiehl Frazier recruiting battle. maybe if Gus could develop his own QB Frazier would still be in the conversation

AJ McTat won plenty and calling him a game manager may be too generous a term to use

An efficient, game manager QB with last years team would have won 10 games

LSU fans shouldn't be laughing at that statement as you guys were one of the teams we absolutely chumped out at the end of the season.

With one of those game manager QB's that can be consistent to the final whistle we win the A&M, Bama, Miss St. games with cushion. The Missouri game is a blowout w/ a healthy consistent QB. We'd also have been w/in a touchdown of Auburn and Georgia.

We do have a lot of youth, you'll want to play Arkansas early by the time we get into the meat of the schedule this thing should be clicking and we'll be a nightmare for coordinators to prep for in a week.

I'm glad we're playing Toledo early so our new starters at LB will get a chance to go against Kareem Hunt who will be drafted pretty high next year.

Can't wait to see Dre Greenlaw knock some heads off

Like you saying Bert messed up pulling your cousins offer and he was "good enough" to play for Arkansas while the reality is he's barely 3rd string at South Alabama?

This the reality you speak of?

Wait a minute, your DL is supposedly all world, but doesn't seem like any RB had a problem running at all.

All that proves is our fourth string is better than LSU's best RB.

Im not sure you are aware of this, but we had 3 different groups playing defense.

Collins and JWill ran against the first teamers

Their total was 17 carries for 140 yds an avg of 8.2 ypc

collins had a 43 yarder, if you havent noticed he is a great back

take that away you get 17 carries for 97 yds an avg of 5.7 ypc

take away 88 more yards, and take away 8 carries (or 11 ypc if you will) and you will find your heisman winning RBs stats from last year

News Flash: Arkansas can run the ball pretty well, and its a scripted scrimmage using all 105 players.

If BA had a good day with several TD's, we would see troll posts about how our D is going to suck. But the D had a good scrimmage, and somehow the trolls still say our D is going to suck. You can't have it both ways.

We're breaking in a new OC and we've shuffled the offensive line, I expect to see some rust early on.

Brandon Allen will be all SEC, he was just going up against the equivalent of the Baltimore Ravens D. Tell the SEC office to put the trophy on a fedex to Arkansas
