Every HS recruit that gets that flyer in the mail? Their parent's/legal guardians? All I'm trying to say is that particular flyer felt rushed, like someone sat behind their computer and googled shite Auburn may have ranked somewhat high in and threw it on a poster. Do you like the promotional material Auburn distributes? Do you think improvements in the design and marketing department are in order?
You are correct, my bad. I remember one recruit saying he chose a certain school because of a flyer he received in the mail. He also was going to sign after he collected his winnings from "Publishers Clearinghouse". Hell, I think it was Reuben Foster.

To be fair I don't see anything wrong with that

I know some of you old farts don't understand new digital things but have you seen the garish, over the top graphic style of recruits' Instagram posts? We're just leaning into their .jpeg artifact meme repost aesthetic bruh

Hahahahaha
Seriously though, the only thing laughable about that Auburn graphic is the words they put on it.

How are there so many Auburn fans in this thread that don't understand this?

I knew one day studying memes would pay off, planning to apply to a few SEC schools this summer.

Self-aware #heyfellowkids advertising is the current trend, I'm really not even kidding.

We're not laughing at the aesthetics, sir.

Again, self-aware goofy #heyfellowkids almost-right-but-tone-deaf language is seriously a thing. It's in a lot of NYC subway advertising currently. People creating the graphic design at Auburn are more than likely college aged or at least under 30, I guarantee you
Who knows, they very well be actually tone-deaf and serious...but I don't think they are.

So you are saying Auburn actually went next level here and threw up a bunch of seemingly out of touch, random and/or antiquated pop-culture phrases to show that they are in fact on the cutting edge of current pop culture?

You're probably right. It's hard to ignore the jean jacket visor with the bill cut off.
If that is "in" then I am waaay out of touch.

I can always count on the updykes to keep me posted about anything Auburn sports.

I'm saying it's a thing other companies do in their advertising to reach the high school demographic to varying levels of success. This is was in Brooklyn, for instance, and is obviously self-aware.
I'm also saying that a D1 school who is trying to appeal to the same demographic can do the same thing. It's funnily out of touch, in an endearing way.

Women were admitted in 1892, making Auburn the oldest four-year, coeducational school in the state and the second-oldest in the Southeast.
But its not the oldest Co-ed school in the state. Alabama is.

It is the State's longest serving coeducational institution. Nobody with any sense would read it otherwise. Your argument is like saying an old building turned into a pub is the oldest Bar in the state. Doesn't work that way.

Is auburn co-ed? Yes
Is Alabama co-ed? Yes
Which college is older? Alabama
Er go Alabama is the oldest co-ed college in Alabama. Auburn has been co-ed the longest. See the difference? Do you need pictures?
