Why would Bama never play them, and give them that money they gave to southern miss?

That argument's a red herring. MSU and Arkansas played them Money is money. Whether it comes from Starkville or Fayetteville or Tuscaloosa is irrelevant.

Well, since the Aubs are so sympathetic to helping UAB football, why didn't they play them instead of Samford?

Better yet, since AU has the moral high ground here, why doesn't Auburn adopt UAB's football program and replace the $17 million annual costs?

I wish someone would pull the plug on the entire UL (University of Lousiana) system in Louisiana. And then dump the funds into the LSU pool. We would become a UVA/UCLA type school

It could be argued that UAB becoming a power would hurt Alabama more because Birmingham is largely an Alabama town and that is where UAB's fan support would come from first. It could also be argued that Auburn doesn't exactly have a tremendous amount of fan support in Birmingham anyway

Somebody please explain to me why Alabama would give ... You can't tell me the Bama athletic program hasn't been swimming in money for the last decade and doesn't have te money to float a little bro program.

Bama is "The Dynasty" and yet can't afford to throw some money to a little bro program?

What Alabama has done to UAB is a travesty and all Bamers should be disgusted by this.

You voted for Obama twice, didn't you.

It doesn't matter to me. It matters to the people at state level who measure the fact uab football costs the great state of Alabama money...not make it money...

I don't understand why anyone outside the state of Alabama cares about the University of Alabama Birmingham's football program?

Serious question.

The "Abortion, Amnesty, and Acid" campaign of George McGovern never had a chance against Richard Nixon. Didn't stop Nixon's CREEP henchmen from breaking into the DNC headquarters at theWatergate hotel.

Supreme arrogance sometimes spawns supreme paranoia.

I do donate to UAB. My father graduated from there with his Masters, my wife was an associate professor and I was a TA.

We are sick of pumping money down the shitter. Should have been closed a long time ago. Most of the people who attend the games are given free tickets. Few really care about UAB football.

That's a great theory but why did they block them from hiring Jimbo and building a stadium that didn't cost UA anything if they didn't care?

Ummm, before a couple of weeks ago no one knew about this, yet Auburn was supposed to schedule them years in advance to avoid their sudden termination?

ok.

Maybe because it's not their fricking university system?

Why is it so hard for the gumps to just say this kinda sucks instead of deflecting and trolling about a fairly serious subject?

Come on man. If you think Bama fans are the only ones trolling on here, I don't know what to tell ya.

No, I don't think they're the only ones trolling but I don't know that I have seen the first serious answer from any of them.

They all seem to be sticking to making fun of anyone that actually seems to care about the subject.

To be honest this is the first thread I have posted in about UAB because they have all been complete shite shows. Maybe there has been some informative information somewhere, but I sure as hell couldn't find it because you have to wade through 15 pages of absolute fricking horse shite to see anything worth a damn.
