Nebraska player ejected for targeting.

Her hit with his helmet. Jones did not, as I said, his head wasnt even aimed at the player, he was looking almost dead at the camera, which was on the sidelines

Honestly, bama football has been pretty unwatchable this year with all the cupcakes.

I love it when Auburn fans bring up Bama's cupcake schedule.

Auburn and Alabama's common opponents for 2013:

LSU, Ole Miss, Miss St, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Arkansas

Bama's cupcakes: Virginia Tech, Colorado State, Chattanooga, Georgia State , Kentucky

Auburn's cupcakes: Washington State, Arkansas State, Western Carolina, Florida Atlantic, Georgia (ok not a cupcake but a 4 loss GA team is not last year's GA team)

don't really see a whole lot of difference in the 2 teams schedules but if you feel better saying Bama plays a cupcake schedule and your out of conference opponents are superior to Bama's then

I hate this rule, but how is this targeting if the Jones hit isn't? I'm so tired of SEC refs.

Shoulder to head/neck area is still targeting.

Thats a bad call, but 47s facemask hit the QBs facemask, and it was definitely a late hit, so there is that. What does that have to do with us?

Great, because his shoulder went into his chest.

Yes, I said that, but he didnt hit int he head neck area, he hit him right at the top of the numbers. sliding up into the facemask after initial contact is NOT the same thing as hitting the facemask as the initial contact.

You cannot control where you go after a hit, you can however control where you hit, and he hit in the chest, at the top of the numbers, therefore completely legal.

Yep. Crown of the helmet leading towards the neck/head area. The fricking crown of the helmet is buried in the dudes neck.

That picture is taken after contact when both players have been stood up by the collision ffs. You cant use a still image without the lead up and following frames.

It shouldn't have been called a penalty because he should have called a fair catch. Roll tide

Thats what im looking at. its a still frame with no way if knowing at what point during the hit it was taken. But by looking, as I said, it looks like it was taken right after contact, which stood jones up and makes it look like his helmet is right at the guys neck, but it wasnt at the point of impact. it also is after the guy was knocked back which effects where he was in relation to which direction jones had his body turned at the point of impact.

at impact jones was lower and pointed to the sidelines with his helmet, not into the player

that picture shows Jones's head across the MSU guy's body, into his shoulder.

Thank you for proving my point.
