Well thanks dhuck, this is a single Season thread. I mentioned that next would be the career records thread.

The only issue with lists like these is some of the guys had the benefits of their bowl game's counting, some didn't, some played in a 12 game regular season, some didn't. It is hard to compare these across seasons now. It is why I reject the NFL lengthening the season.

That's why I look at it by carries. Hill only carried the ball 200 times, but he's in the top 25 for single season rushing. Chubb is in the top 15 for the same reason.

I don't think this includes the 7 TD passes McFadden had, 2 receiving, and 1 return which would put him at 51.

Well yeah, it doesn't. This is for rushing, not all purpose.

I posted all 3 for single Season. They're in different post. You can combine them into a single post. I probably should have listed all 3 categories in my original post but was only looking at total yards.

I know it isn't relevant but for anyone wondering about Mizzou, ours is Devin West in 1998 with 1578 yards.

Wait, Mark Ingram, per every rival fan of Bama, sucked and was the worst Heisman Trophy winner of all times. Yet he had the 3rd best season since 1956 for yards from scrimmage. Sure he played more games than some below him but he still had a damn good year, was a damn good RB and obviously was deserving of the accolades he received in spite of his critics.

its kind of crazy that no one has broken 2,000 yrds. With the move to a possible 15 games, surely it will happen eventually.

Not trolling here but the big12 had 3 backs do that back before 12 game schedules. Ricky Williams, Byron Hanspard and Troy Davis.

How come UGA can never find that Lady Luck. They always seem to hook up with her cousin Ms Underachiever.

The biggest fricking Heisman snub in the history of the award and it's not even close. TD rushed for over 2000 TWICE but wasn't on a big name team with a great record. frick Eddie George.
