Auburn executed better. The linemen did not execute proper field goal return coverage. Two of Auburn's touchdowns were gifts: the Nick Marshall touchdown run and Sammie Coates touchdown reception. Both were the result of an Alabama player taking himself out of the play. Auburn also gave Alabama a gift with the 99 yard touchdown. Auburn caught more breaks than Alabama, and that's the bottom line. Auburn made Alabama work hard for 3 of Alabama's touchdowns. Auburn got 3 on plays that Alabama fricked up. I can't fault Auburn for taking advantage of Alabama's various miscues, but I'm not convinced that Auburn was the better team that day or is the better team now.

If a UGA fan said that, about any game, I'm sure you'd be one of the first to call us crybabies or moral victors or some other nonsense.

Alabama lost. I can't move on to the next 4 stages of grief. How do you do it?

Football isn't my life, but Alabama's done until next August. I will watch the Sugar Bowl, but the result won't change the outcome of the Iron Bowl.

In high school and college, I would drink all weekend, try to avoid the internet, and talk to as few people as possible while leaving the house as little as possible until about Wednesday.

Now that I'm older, I still get real drunk Saturday, but the next day I'm over it. I do other things in life that I enjoy, or hang out with friends. I realized a few years ago, actually after the SECCG in all honesty, that I invest far too much of my mental health in this thing that I have no control over.

I accept it, I move on, live my life..

I've spent time with friends since then, but the Iron Bowl is still a hot topic, and there are people that I haven't discussed it with. I know several Alabama fans. I will watch the Sugar Bowl while knowing what could have been.

I see the loss has mellowed you out some, which is good. Normally, there's no way we could have said 3 or 4 things back and forth like this without you referencing some uga/bama game from the past.

I like the calmer gardevoir, I think.

Thanks. I'm on this year now. Besides, Georgia and Florida's seasons headed south with all the injuries and such, so it wouldn't be fair to poke fun at them. Y'all's fanbases have enough to deal with. Better luck next year!

If you mean if the entire field goal unit got caught with their pants down then yes, they didn't execute proper field goal return coverage.

I melted. Then he fired everyone, including people I had never heard of. I bought my bus pass that day.

I was just so happy we didn't hire Petrino that I took a wait and see approach initially. When he told everyone to get the frick out, I was sold.

I thought he would do well, certainly better than BB from the beginning.

I personally think he is the reason for the other national title almost as much as Cam.

Why do auburn fans need others to validate them? I just don't get it. You are in the big game but you want everyone to say how great you are. Act like you have been there and enjoy the moment!
