Arguable the biggest misconception this offseason. No we fricking didn't. We will be fine. We lost more in 2011 than we did in 2012. Bama actually lost more than us.

Won't matter when LSU is in Texas A&M's old spot in the west

Since when did Andy Staples start working for BR? I read the UGA info and he really has no clue or didn't care to research more.

We lost 2 starters on DL, 2 linebackers, and 1 DB.

That's less than half of the starting defense lost

That's the guts of your D and most of the leadership. Pretty significant.

Stanford and Notre Dame in the top 5? LOL

Yes Notre Dame is a joke but I wouldn't automatically right off Stanford. They build their teams like the SEC builds theirs. Defense first and then O-line. No they don't have the athletes year in and year out, but they play tough football.

They play each other very early though. Wouldn't be surprised if there was a rematch.

WUT? Okay, I'll ask. (I am going to regret this.)

How so, might that happen? Please explain.

Thoughts:

-LOL at the Stanford hate. They would wax dat arse of almost all SEC teams. The top 6 could give em a game, but only Bama and A&M could beat them IMO. Shaw doesn't get enough credit out West.

-I'm curious how OSU does next year. Regardless Meyer will have them competing for NCs very shortly.

-If it wasn't for the NC debacle the ND ranking would be about right. That team was a year, maybe two ahead of schedule last year. Their DL will be beastly this year, and the offense should improve.

-Call it a homer, but I think South Carolina is a little high. I actually think he hit the nail on the head with the Lattimore loss not being that big given that they've never had him for a full season. I know the DL will still be very good, but the back 7 loses a TON and their back 7 never seems to get the credit it deserves. It's been bigtime the last 3 years.

Don't care about whoever is outside the top 10.

IMO, Stanford on their best day is pretty close to Florida. But if they had an SEC schedule they would get beat down and be closer to Ole Miss '12 level

Pretty close to Florida? We'll hafta agree to disagree there.

Gimme Stanford over Florida any day of the week. Shaw on half an hours sleep after a drunken Vegas heater is a better coach than Muschamp.

They also play in the Pac 12 and only had 2 tough games last season. We had 5 games against teams that finished in the final top 10, going 4-1 against them.

2011 is exactly why it has no chance of happening again this season. No way will they allow that to happen again. Uproar in the rest of the CFB world, piss poor ratings, etc.

2011 was my point.

It is too early in the morning for the sheep humping taterhead bullshite already. Don't you have a sister or a cousin to butt-pork somewhere, or something? I'll bet the sheep in your house are thankful for these little SECr breaks you afford them from time to time, huh?
