No ... Notre Dame is too damn high. That's just ridiculous. It's like deja vous all over again.

I love preseason rankings.

The things I love about this one the best are:

your team could lose to UF and LSU the year before,
beat 3-4 ranked teams,
have your best offensive player coming back from last year's team,
lose several of your best defenders...
and be ranked somewhere between 2 or 7 and still ahead of UF and LSU.

Preseason rankings are awesome!

Atleast So Cal didn't get their token nod.

Michigan State is laughable. They just had bad luck is his excuse for ranking them.

On #6 Oregon:

[quote] Any concerns that Oregon would change appreciably after Chip Kelly handed off to Mark Helfrich were put to rest when the Ducks' offense quickly racked up 802 yards in the spring game.

However, questions about their defense were quietly ignored.

Pretty much. Heck, I think *I* could walk on for Oregon's defense. It doesn't serve any purpose but to, HOPEFULLY, hold other teams to a FG on the occasional drive ;p

D'Antonio is getting creds for being Gamecock alum.

No matter how bad they do next season, expect them in the Pre-season top 10 in almost every poll next year, and every year to come.

I knew that #2 ranking would cause the rustling of jimmies.

In our defense, I don't think we belong at #2 either.

Overrated:

2-Texas A&M
3-Stanford
5-Notre Dame
14-Michigan State
18-Texas
20-Baylor
24-Northern Illinois
25-Virginia Tech

Underrated:

4-Ohio State
6-Oregon
11-Georgia
13-LSU
21-UCLA
23-Vanderbilt

Just right: everyone else
