Yeldon ran behind a much better O-Line than Gurley

Not in 2013.

Agreed. Didn't say otherwise.

So the argument there is the other guys had TDs taken away because of other viable scoring options. I don't 100% agree with that notion, but it's an argument with some validity.

Not really...

If UGA didn't have any other viable scoring options, wouldn't that make it even harder for Gurley to be at the top of that list, with every DC planning specifically to target Gurley in the redzone?

It's also a % calculation, so it's TD's as a percent of his touches. That further invalidates the argument that other teams having more weapons in the backfield contributed to lower TD-To-Touch ratio for the other players.

Like I said. I didn't really agree with the argument, I just thought that there was some validity to it. I'm with you and you put it perfectly. If Gurley was the only viable option out of the backfield for Georgia, DCs were keying on him more.

One ankle sprain in your entire life does not make you injury prone. It wasn't a non-contact injury, he had his ankle rolled on from the back, any other normal human would have been hobbled for life, it only kept him out of a few games.
And UGA will always be a balanced team, we don't run anyone into the ground.

I agree. I don't know where the notion that Gurley is injury prone came from.

South Cackalacky fans that want to say we ran Gurley harder than they did Lattimore and his injuries are a result.

He doesn't do anything to me to separate himself. He's a top 5 RB in college football. Which means he's a second to third round pick.

NFL scouts disagree.

What makes you say 2nd or 3rd round when most mocks have him in the top 15 picks?

No - that's a thing of the past, especially for already injured backs

Because. I think he's a second or third round pick. I haven't looked at a 2015 mock draft, and anyone I looked at at the moment would be meaningless.

So based on nothing. Got it.

RBs have to be pretty special to be guaranteed first round picks these days.

Seems like the fans that doubt Gurley's first round-ability are from teams that have never faced Gurley.

LSU, UF, UA, AU, all seem to appreciate his ability.

SC fans are also doubtful, but that's because they are SC fans and hate all things UGA.

He was easily the best back LSU faced last year.
I think J. Hill, Tre Mason, TJ Yeldon and Mike Davis are all very talented. T. Gurley just seems to be a notch or two better than that group.

I think the RB position has been so devalued that I wouldn't draft him or any back in the first round. The game has changed so much and it's too easy to find talented running backs from small schools that can be very productive.
