We're required by the state to take a subsidy.

Good lord Auburn, did you join the Longhorns channel

If that was the case at least they would probably turn a small profit. They pay Kansas a couple million to play on there.

Stop buying Nikes.

A nearly $100 million gift from Nike co-founder Phil Knight has likely temporarily pushed the University of Oregon to the top of a list of the country's biggest athletic departments.

An annual revenue and expense report filed with the NCAA this month shows the athletic department had $196 million in fiscal 2014 revenue. That includes $124 million in donations, including Knight's gift of an opulent training facility for the football team.

The math is a bit off here, some are rounded up while others aren't and you have Florida and LSU switched for some reason. Not sure where you got this or if you did it yourself?

Re-do it for me.. I deleted the SS after I posted. If you need the formula... check back. OM' profit margin shows they are shitty at managing money. TIA

Hell, that got about a dozen coaches on payroll who aren't there any more, and most of their purchased athletes were bought on installments with high carrying charges.

Schools do not report their finances the same so it can be difficult to compare. Not everyone is providing the same information. For example, schools are not required to report their debt service. UF does and it comes off revenue, Alabama does not.

Ha, that will drop quickly if Sumlin doesn't start producing SOON. If nothing else, you will have a big buyout to deal with...

That's not bad considering that the entire state of Alabama is only worth $137.

In the last 2 years, AU has built a Wellness Kitchen- $5M a Residence Hall-$54M, and are still paying on the Arena. AU and Jay Jacobs decide to spend the money there instead of JHS.

Why is Auburn losing money? It's not because of Boom -- that wouldn't fall under 2014 -- and it's not because they don't have a passionate fanbase and lots of support. They do. I can understand building projects, but half the SEC has that issue. There's got to be a logical explanation that doesn't involve trolling by other fanbases.

Unless you're trolling auburnphan, in which case, have at it.

I thought LSU would be the team in the red, not Auburn.
