Auburn's expenses traveling to Loz Angeles would probably be double that.

Wow, so hotels are that more expensive in LA? I think that you are making stuff up to fit your narrative.

Seems to me a lot of people could drive from Alabama to New Orleans. I doubt too many people picked that means of travel from Auburn to Los Angeles. I would think the hotels are also more expensive, but I don't know that for a fact

Wait, have we switched to what the fans spent on travel instead of what UA and AU actually spent on travel?

AU didn't spend twice as much as Bama to get to LA. I assure you of that.

You can also add paying Chizik over a million dollars for his buyout, buying out Tony Barbee, and hiring Bruce Pearl

All those things happened in same year

Throw in all the money they've spent on Renovations and the numbers make plenty of sense. But you can't explain money to a bunch of people who still live off their parents.

LSU considered the $8.5 million the AD turned over to the university as an expense. That lowered our AD's profit margin considerably.

This is what makes it tough to just look at these numbers and draw conclusions, every school has their own way of reporting finances.

By your logic, you should give him a raise since you can afford it.

We might do that. He did recruit Chavis, who we aren't even paying $2 million a year unless you count legal fees. That might deserve a bonus.

When you compare Sumlin's salary to others who have accomplished more (way more), then it makes him overpaid.

OK I look around in my region, and I see Texas paying Strong the same $5 million to lose to Arkansas when Sumlin beat Arkansas. Then I look across the border and Stoops is paid more than $5 million a year to run his legacy in the ground. I mean we might not be getting a deal, but regionally we aren't overpaying.

Auburn's going to have to really crank up the date rape drug machine.

I find this so fricking funny considering all the lip most on the rant gave about LSU being bankrupt. LSU fans knew exactly what was going on because it happens every fricking year. People should not post stupid shite they know nothing about other than reading something in a paper!!!

Re-do it for me.. I deleted the SS after I posted. If you need the formula... check back. OM' profit margin shows they are shitty at managing money. TIA

Why in the world would I want your formula if it's wrong when you use it? I just used basic math to figure it out, it isn't even hard math. Also Ole Miss' profit margin shows that our athletic department makes more money then yours. Too bad you suck.

Yup.. Looks like you guys are okay with falling behind the pack and not caring about the future of your program.

That's jusg the type of mentality that's left you without a NC in 35 years and an SEC Championship in a decade.

Residence Hall-$54 Million

WTF does this have to with the AD?NCAA did away "athletic dormitories" years ago...in other words, you cannot have any type of specialized housing for athletes only.

Completely agree....

that's why we are excited about the next 5 years. Spending $40m on indoor practice facility, hired 12 new positions "assistants" and paying our coordinators big bucks.....

It's been a long time coming

Regular students live in the dorms as well, but the dorms were built on the same site as Auburn's old athletic dorms

That is who paid for it. The NCAA did away with pure athletic dorms, but there was a loophole. You could house athletes in a dorm that had 50% of the occupants from the general population. This Residence Hall has over 200 suites, so it can easily house the entire Football team.

Dam, living with AU footballers is the last place on earth I'd want to live.

Nope, according to the Auburn Athletics website..."construction and funding was provided by the university and not the athletic department"
