This makes the more sense than creating the unintended consequences of going overboard against oversigning. The clueless anti-oversigning idiots are actually trying to link grayshirting with oversigning and claiming grayshirting in all cases is evil and abuses kids when quite a few players gladly take a grayshirt.

Miles let porter transfer to UK. He didn't have any limitations on his transfer. Can't say that goes for everyone though. When playtime became an issue he let phelon transfer to Bama.

Considering the irrelevancy of Ga for a while now maybe they should try oversigning. It would atleast help with their arrest numbers. How many have yall kicked off now?

Who the frick refers to themselves as a 'stinker', other than smelvis? Fat teenage girls that wear howling wolf shirts.

I don't know why I'm picking on you. I don't give a frick about the topic at hand. I guess I'm just irritated by the gayness you manage to project in most posts.

Poor Richt . He's pissed because Saban is recruiting Georgia hard and he's having to work to recruit.

He had to commit violations last year to keep the Georgia boys home. And Saban has already got 6 Georgia boys committed this year.

Until scholarships are four year guarantees then I could care less if we are oversigning and cutting the dead weight. Good for the coaches in doing what is necessary to keep us competitive as long as they are honest about the yearly renewal on the front end.

This may be true, but rarely the case. especially when it comes to incoming recruits.

A "stinker" is a term most our grandparents used. The Warner Brothers cartoons with Bugs Bunny saying "ain't I a stinker". Agree with you though. Stupid way to refer to yourself.

I feel it is the only way. first if you can only sign 25, what if only 15 qualify. And Grey shirting is not bad, unless the recruit is forced to, by not being let out of his LOI. If he chooses to stay then again there is nothing wrong with it

This begs the question....

What's Georgia's excuse for bad football going to be after the oversigning legislation is passed?

I'm thinking about starting a cheatingandgettingawaywithit.com website to expose cheating programs that use many nefarious methods to get away with their blatant NCAA rules breaking (see tOSU)

You do realize over half of the SEC teams are for this right? the last vote only a couple of holdouts were against this one of them is very obvious. College football as a whole is against this and most other divisions have rules regarding oversigning.

The list goes on, Texas, OU, and OSU was against this last year before their problems started. AU is against it and AU has no problem filling out a class. UGA has a lot of attrition but Richt is against it in principle.

I hate to break it to you but the SEC is the only division that allows oversigning to the level we do. Other divisions allow for some oversigning but nothing to the level that is done in the SEC. I'm not saying it is a great idea or a bad idea but the SEC has dominated for the last 6-8 years depending upon how you look at things and oversigning at this level didn't start until 3-4 years ago.

I agree 100% - every incoming HS recruit knows in advance that a scholly is for 1 yr only. No guarantees for renewal - no guarantees for PT.

If a recruit, along with his parents are confident in the players ability to compete with the roster at Bama, FLA, AU, LSU, Arky, etc. then they will sign an LOI. Sometimes things work out, sometimes they don't. That's life.

UGA Arrests and player dismissal has cut down on their numbers.
OSU Doing whatever they can to get the spotlight off them and their troubles.
UF SINCE WHEN?
AU Terrible example. You have like 49 on your roster.

Meh.

Athens is too cool, the music is too good, and the beer is too cold.

Getting too cool to care frankly.

That.

And mumphs.

But I'm sure you're unfamiliar with the term.

Twitter says different!! Almost 900 followers! Yes! And a lot of ESPN and national media guys.

That's when the change happens.

When it starts to proliferate nationally!

Isn't it exciting!

How many decades has the media been screaming for a playoff? How many times has congress talked about CFB needing playoffs or that the BCS is unfair? Don't forget the fans, they are screaming louder than ever.

How has the campaign to get a playoff started worked out? And you think a few thousand people whining about oversigning will force change... good luck with that.

Already coming brah.

By a college professer at Harvard concerned about the NCAA's exploitation of "amateur" athletes.
