I'm thinking in the next few years you guys will be seeing a little bit of Ohio State or USC in the NC. Tyrelle Pryor is looking pretty good as the season is nearing. Apparently he ran a 4.3 40 (without pads of course)a few days back. Maybe having a scrambling quarterback can be somewhat of an equalizer for the SEC's big arse defenses. Our recieving core is young but they will be good soon, and it looks like Beanie Wells will be replaced in the next couple years seeing as we recruited Jamaal Berry and Roddrick Smith (6-2 216).

Hope we can give you a good game

SEC defense aren't so good because of their size, but a mixture of that and great speed on defense.

See that's the thing. I'm probably never going to give up because I'm a true fan.

Silly Buckeye, you know 4.3's only show up South of Kentucky.

Pryor is a player, game breaker, in a good system with good coaches.

BTW, Ohio State will always have great wide receivers because they have the best wide receiver coach in the game.

I'm kidding.

I find it funny that giving up has indeed crossed your mind, though.

Haven't SEC teams beat the ever living crap out of Ohio State for the past several years or at least when they show up in the National Championship game.

*duck*

fwiw, i'm pretty excited about the next few seasons here in Columbus. I have a good feeling about Dan Herron this year and Pryors passing appears to have improved a good bit from last season.

Jamaal will be a nice addition if he stays out of trouble. He didn't get suspended or anything for the pot, did he? I heard mention of it on a radio show the other day, but didn't actually catch exactly what was said.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I hope we can give you a good game because we'll be there

I went to the NC game in New Orleans and even though we lost it was a good experience. I'm just glad we made it there two years in a row, even if we didn't win. Lord knows we couldn't win with Todd Boeckman as our quarterback. The year we lost to Florida they were ridiculous not to mention we were overrated.

And as far as I know Jamaal wont be suspended. But I'm sure he'll be fine, a lot of people smoke weed and get caught. He's probably learned his lesson.

Troy Smith isn't Tyrelle Pryor.

it's probably just because i'm a delusional buckeye fan, but i will never accept the fact that we were overrated in 06. in 2007, yes we were horribly overrated, but i'd still love to have that offense back from 06.

didn't say he was
just saying you're acting like you've never had a running QB play against an SEC D

It wasn't so much of us being overrated, I think Florida was just extremely good. Also a lot of the media had Ohio State as the favorites and I think that it went to our heads. Ted Ginn's injury hurt, but I think that we needed a better running back as well as an offensive line that could block. I blame that loss on the fact that nobody blocked for Troy Smith.

I mean, I'm not trying to be an arse cause you seem like a good fan, but you were pretty much proven to be overrated if you lose like that in a NC game. Kinda like Oklahoma when USC beat the hell out of them a few years ago

heard from a semi-reliable source that Smith packed on 15 pounds before the game(food/party weight, not muscle weight).

But honest truth, he didn't have the talent Pryor has. He was more of a passer than a scrambler in my opinion and if you need proof of his talent level check out how he's doing in the NFL. Troy Smith is the man for the way he acted off the field in his last few years, but he's not a pure scrambler.

And yeah I heard the Ohio State guys got a little out of hand on the partying as well.
