Since this is a pretty closely related topic, the US mens national team is playing against canada tonight 9pm EST. Just in case y'all hate basketball THAT much. ESPN 2

I don't hate basketball that much, but anytime we can put our neighbors to the north in their place I am watching!

I played two years at Bama on a men's "club" team. We played other schools, some sanctioned and some not. It was a good time and we fielded a solid squad. I'd definitely watch some games.

Ok? But you're saying we'd suddenly have a drop off because UGA picked up soccer as if we need GA kids so much right now that without them we'd be nothing when I simply showed you that simply wasn't the case.

not to mention i have seen all 3 of those guys play and 2 of them arent even very good.

I never said USC would suck. But GA guys have been very important part of the teams over the last 20 years. Plus who is to say some of the guys from SC don't come to UGA. I used to attend Berson's camp as well as Clemson's and know guys that have played at both programs as well as CoC,Coastal and Furman. USC would miss out on some great players they get now, if UGA had a team.

tons of people say that but i always defend hs soccer, mainly because it was the most fun i ever had playing. my team was also fricking awesome so that helps. but really metro atlanta high school soccer is really legit.

The atmosphere is defiantly better than club and playing in the stadiums was a blast. Unfortunately there are some great players lost at some very bad teams in the Metro area. I grew up in Gwinnett and saw a lot of good players and teams.
