And put an MLS team in Atlanta or Nashville.

We already sponsor women's soccer

Gotcha. So a men's soccer team would mean having to add another women's sport then?

I'd love an MLS team in Atlanta or Nashville.

:vomit:

Soccer is a goddamn 3rd world sport. It has no place in the SEC.

This, how many schools will have to add another female sport just to compensate? I think men's soccer would be really cool, especially considering how much more popular soccer is getting. But don't all the schools already have women's soccer so they will have to find another woman's sport to sponsor?

How do you feel about the possibility - it's being discussed and appears to be a done deal in the near future - that the SEC is going to adopt men's soccer as a sponsored sport across the league?

Link?

I would also support this. We need more of the Mexican fan base in the state. This would be a great way to do it.

Women's equestrian. Young lass'es, tights, black boots and a riding crop. Put it in the 'Young Males' time slot on new SEC network. That and the "JFF Live!" show are certain subscription getters.

If the Slive is smart, he will make it calculated, and have an obscure sport like women's bowling, or women's beach volley ball, simultaneously added across the league.

Just curious, does any school make money from soccer? I think it would be pretty inexpensive if you already have a stadium built and you exclude the the money for an actual scholarship. Just pay for an occasional surgery and travel. I think SEC schools would be able to draw big crowds. I don't think you would lose a lot of money. At least not as much as some other sports.

Bowling and Beach Volleyball are no-brainers.

The SWAC has bowling. By definition that means it can't be expensive to maintain the program.

Beach Volleyball can just piggyback on the regular volleyball team like Indoor and Outdoor track do.

Rifle seems like a no-brainer as well.

Would that be enough to add soccer or wrestling back to the SEC schools?

I personally wouldn't mind seeing us lead the way in scholarship Rugby. People would like it, it's a lot like football, and we'd be good at it too

I love rugby, played it for a while...but we're nowhere close to getting it to be a sponsored sport in the NCAA much less SEC. There is no high school feeding system to it at all right now.

From my understanding, there will never be men's soccer across the board in the SEC.

I know LSU isn't getting a team anytime soon.

Wrestling please, we've got to be good at something in this conference.
