You only need 4 schools to sponser a sport for it to be recognized.(see equestrian this year with 4)
I wouldn't be shocked if aTm added W Rifle, W bowling, W gymnastics and M soccer after the money from SEC network are out
Don't underestimate realignment in these decisions either.
Adding unc/duke/UVA would bring lacrosse, fencing, w rowing, good soccer and other sports
Bama and tenn have women's rowing so why not add that with m soccer and w lacrosse

Beach volleyball would be nice but I'm not sure how popular it would be
Ice hockey, water polo and skiing are out of the equation

How popular is any women's sport?
At the very least the traditional volleyball coaches should want it so they can get paid more and maybe add a couple of scholarship players to their team.

I'd fricking go now. If I were in college, I'd definitely be there. It won't be a money maker but hell, it would draw more guys to a match than bowling, horse riding or gun shooting.

I personally wouldn't mind seeing us lead the way in scholarship Rugby. People would like it, it's a lot like football, and we'd be good at it too
Rugby would be awesome to add. Life University in Atlanta is actually one of the best Collegiate Rugby programs in the country...Now they are no Cal Berkeley, but no one can come close to them.

I would be in favor of this big time. South Carolina and Clemson would both see a drop off as they get so many of the top talent from GA. I didn't go to UGA because I couldn't play soccer there.

I'd love it. I played soccer for 17 years at all levels, and Missouri has a very soccer rich talent pool with Springfield, Kansas City, and St. Louis in particular. In state talent in Missouri is immense. Mizzou already has the best club men's team in the nation

i love it. assuming you can add it without affecting other sports negatively i say do it.
deuce could've been an aggie.

I'd be in full support. A&M already has great infrastructure in place. I know for a fact that we would support it.

A UGA fan talking out of his arse. That's new. What do you follow soccer recruiting?
SC's Roster
3 guys are from GA. 12 from SC and 11 from various other places, several from NC.

Men's soccer would be the shite. A lot of good players down south quit since the SEC doesn't have men's teams

Josh Wolff

Those are just a few guys that came from GA. Do any of those names mean anything?

I barely watch pro soccer so I for sure wouldn't watch college soccer.
it wouldn't bother me if they added it as long as they didn't take any scholarships from the big 3 sports.
