Yall are pretty heartless when it comes to this subject. I have friends from UAB and saw that video of the senior player crying. I mean, it's pretty fricked up.

No fricks are given.....that player still has his scholarship and four-year ride to a free college education.

Actual numbers prove it was on the upswing. But, go on with the narrative that you are force fed.

You are the one believing a narrative. They still had games like La Tech where it was beautiful weather. UA/AU playing later in day and they still got less than 10k. Look at the history of the thing

Maybe if your friends actually went to games he wouldn't have been crying

Because your ONE job is the same as killing an entire program. You have fans, players and coaches all affected. You're just one person. That's an outlandish and idiotic comparison, to be honest.

Bama fans are so very bitter and mad about everything that doesn't say how wonderful they are.

some of us non-bammers just plain don't give a shite about uab and are sick of seeing whining about them too.

If those coaches are good enough, they will get a job somewhere else. If those players are good enough, they will continue playing ball. If not, I hope they enjoy the free college education. Pardon me for not shedding a tear for those poor souls associated with UAB football.

College football attendance: Home crowds drop to lowest in 14 years

That's crazy.
Interest has never been higher at my university.
Somehow we always find a way to be the nonconformist.

This might be a shock to you, but perhaps putting a decent product on the field correlates to people going to games and as UAB got better and started winning THIS YEAR people started going to games THIS YEAR - enough to show a 107% increase.

Yes, shocking.

Who asked you to shed a tear? I'm not shedding a tear. But watching that video of the senior did make me feel bad for them. Half yall didn't even go to Alabama and you're fine with your fav school just killing a program off that didn't even affect your school athletically (or in football-which is all yall care about anyway)

Fraternities are pretty much the only ones left that go to games.

How much did you contribute to UAB's athletic program?

I've never contributed anything. Does that mean I'm supposed to not feel bad after watching a video of a senior upset that he was lied to?

Get to your point, if you have one.

The Blazers averaged 21,841 fans per game,

How many of those fans represented paid attendance? They've given away tons of tickets to local schools (certainly a good thing) in recent years. While that is admirable, it doesn't assist in paying the bills and eliminating that $17M operational deficit.

I'd venture to say students got in free with a student ID, but don't know that for sure.
