There is a reason it's the busiest airport in the world.

Hartsfield-Jackson is really easy to get around despite it's size

The Dome is a crap place to watch from. Hopefully the new dome will be better.

That area of ATL is also crap but hotels reasonably close by are abundant AND no other city in the south has such a mix of all SEC fans.

Not to mention, the new College Football Hall of Fame which is sweet.

He prolly hasn't flown outta Hartsfield since the new International Terminal has opened. Access to International & Domestic terminals are on 2 different Interstates & all the old International gates have been converted to domestic travel. That's why Southwest is in ATL. & Delta has expanded again...

Not if their team wins. If bama won the sec title game in Nola. I would be like hell yeah. Let's go back and whip some more arse.

I have seen it with my own eyes. Florida travels great here usually, but for the Sugar Bowl against Cincy, they were in town 3 days tops. Cincy was here a week. You get tired of going to the same city. Its human nature.

I think the area around the Dome is pretty great now.

- Aquarium
- Coke Museum
- Civil Rights Museum
- CFB Hall of Fame
- Children's Museum
- Ferris Wheel
- The Tabernacle
- CNN Center
- World Congress Center
- Philips Arena
- The Park
- MARTA access
- new Atlanta Streetcar
- bunch of new hotels

The last thing they really need to do down there is get more restaurants, but I think it's great down there.

You forgot the ferris wheel.
That streetcar is a joke though.

Nice the last time I flew through ATL was in '08 and it was okay, but my experience in 2005 was horrible. Spent 5 and 1/2 hours stuck on a plane on the runway. That is not how you treat one of the original investors great grandkids (even if he did sellout when they stopped being a crop dusting service).

Jerry World or Reliant, IMO. Maybe Alamodome every now and then.

The more I think about it. I like the West home team in NOLA and East home team in ATL

Yea, and I don't want it in New Orleans, anyways. I feel it could hurt the economic impact of the Sugar. A fan base, likely is not gonna want to travel to the same city, twice in a month. With the exception of people that are OT rich, and even then, the stays wouldn't be as long.

The SEC champion hasn't gone to the Sugar Bowl since 2005.

Florida wasn't SEC champ the year they played Cincy. And now, every year that the Sugar isn't a semifinal, there will be a SEC team.
Eta: if ain't broken, don't fix it. Leave it in Atlanta. I would rather try and get the baseball tournament to rotate between Memphis, Metairie, and Gwinnet County. Maybe Go over as well.

The SEC Champion will be in the semifinals and a division runner up is just as likely if not more to be chosen over the SECCG loser. That argument worked a lot better around 2002.

I work in the service industry in the Quarter. A fan base gets tired of going to the same city, and make shorter trips.
How many times have fans on here say they are tired of a specific bowl.

I like Atlanta and think it is the perfect location. That being said, if Jackson State ever gets their 32,000 seat dome approved, Atlanta better watch out.
