You will, for now on, call him Mr. Paul Bryant. Do you understand that?

Just like the coonie fans stood at attention when he entered your stadium and all your cheerleaders and players ran over to greet him and shake his hand before the game, that is how you will also show respect.

The Coonie's best carpet was rolled out for Coach Bryant to walk on when he entered your dump-hole of a stadium. A great man was gracing your type with his presence and back then, you fricking coonies knew your place and respected that.

Now, a bunch of new money shits think they are somebody and it's not normal.

Bow down and respect the team that owns you like no other.

It's not a bad blood, hatred inducing, split families style rivalry.

It has been a great game, and an important SEC West match up for awhile now... but I don't see it as a rivalry.

But at the same time, to say that LSU doesn't have a pedigree and we are a lower tier SEC Football program is laughable. We are 11th in all time wins, to Alabama's 7th (FBS Schools) with only Tennessee and Georgia higher on that list (along with Alabama of course).

This thread is a laugh fest. Bama fans telling LSU fans how they should act. This is like Honey Boo Boo's mom giving dating tips.

Speaking of moms, is Bama mom coming to the game? If OU fans made her that ignorant, LSU fans will feast on her.

Meh, he hasn't been bad. Truth be told, MSU fans were better at grinding.

This series isn't really a rivalry in any way. It's just been the game that has had a huge impact on the SEC West and the national picture for many years now. In the days of fast break football with Arena League type scores, it's the game that "old school" fans like to see. Run it right at you, here we come, can you stop us type football. The hard hitting type of game that almost makes you sore the next day just from watching it. Football as it SHOULD be.

We usually have one team good at a time. I was at the Iron Bowl in Birmingham in 1994 when both teams were undefeated. I understand that sometimes both teams are good. And, yes, it has been going on a long time. I get it.

The Alabama-Auburn game is huge in Alabama. No one else really cares about it unless you have a situation like last year.

SVP is talking about national perception and national importance. I get that Alabama fans have the vested interest in saying that Tennessee is their rival and Auburn is second - or vice versa. Honestly, I do not care about what Alabama fans think or who they hate. They are irrelevant to me.

I am talking about the actual teams and the games. But, yes, it is true that when Saban leaves the game won't matter anymore because Alabama will slink back to mediocrity again.

Is this real? Is this a real post? Without Saban, Alabama isn't a team that merits mention? I hate getting caught up in threads with idiots; I really do.

You silly bastards have had about ten or 12 years in your whole history as a team that was competitive with Bama and suddenly, gumbo and all, LSU is the fricking benchmark of the SEC?

Wow.

I know I'm a newbie here but, damn, is this the level of conversation here? This is the bullshite peddled here?

A team whose fans haven't ever known any sustained success against the absolute best, possibly, team in college football history are going to tell us how we will slide into mediocrity?

Alabama has more coaches in the Hall of Fame than your little shitty team has players in the Hall of Fame. Saban didn't make Alabama who they are like he did LSU. Bryant didn't even make Alabama who they were. It goes way back, coonie.

Give me a frickING BreAK.

Well, there was a little bit of a sense of irony in that post. Don't be so uptight. Literal interpretations are what lead to a 21-0 face crushing and national embarrassment that lead to the catch phrase and lasting shame of 1-9, a date marked in infamy.

Stole his woman? What the hell is it with coonies and having their women stolen? Even little Saban, a virtual midget, mentioned how he felt that coonies thought he was stealing their woman.

Are coonies not good at hanging onto women or something? Is that a deal with them?

Yeah, the Billies are much more impressive than the Coonies. Even at that, they are only 38-51-7 against Bama, so, you know.

Many Alabama fans look outside of the SEC for our truly competitive foes, no offense to any SEC fans. That is just how it is.

Edit: My mistake, you are saying that Tennessee owns you like no other. I'm sorry, I misunderstood your post.

I'm not used to having any fans of another team having a winning record against us so, I didn't immediately recognize that you were saying Tennessee owns you even worse than Alabama does.

That's kind of sad.

Yep. LSU fans begging everyone to believe that a rivalry that has only been relevant for about 5 years is the greatest there is is pretty laughable.

Here we go, the old "you weren't a player" bit by the silly fricks who probably weren't players themselves.

That kind of self-righteous attitude can't be bought even with Albert Means type money. :-)
