Why is everyone so sure he can go and win championships at UT? What if goes there and becomes unhappy with the situation and becomes a shell of his former self? I mean we are playing "what ifs" here anyway right?

I mean I guess anything is possible but that's not very likely. There is nothing Alabama has that Texas doesn't have...

If Bama pays Saban 10M to stay, you're a fricking fool if you think that Les Miles won't milk another 2 or 3 mil a year out of LSU for himself.

Going for 4 in 5 and doubled the gross football revenue at Bama and he's raping us?

Well in that case call me Jodi Foster

Yet out of 95K votes, a whopping 62%, 48 states, and the international votes say that Alabama is the better job.

All of them are dumb.

.where would you rank Arkansas?

I'd say 10-12, just off top of my head.

Biggest problem with Arkansas is its recruiting base (in state). We can only expect 2-4 solid SEC type players per year.

The rest of the stuff - money, fanbase, location... no problem.

I'm not a naive person that thinks that Saban will 100% stay forever. If he ends up going to Texas I won't be shocked. He likes to turn programs around, it is a challenge and that is something that Saban likes. To say it is a "better" job is questionable.

In my opinion, I'd say that a school that has won the past 2 national titles is a "better" job, but in Saban's eyes it may be exciting to him to have the possibility of going to a great football school that has hit a rough spot (Just like Alabama when he came here).

Where does that come from? Is it a known rickdaddy fact that Saban likes to go to programs to turn them around?

nothing against Bama since it is a top notch job but Texas is the best job in the country. They have their own network, they are the #1 school in the #1 football state in the country, they have limitless resources and the most income of any football program, they have a patient fanbase, and the school offers the combination of a pretty easy route to a national championship and recognition as a premiere program

Texas is the #1 job in college football. Does that mean Saban wants to go there? Not necessarily. He obviously has a great thing going at Alabama and can get more than 10 million a year out of the REC if he really want it.

Saban is going to coach the Crimson Tide next year?
The Richest College: Harvard University

2011 endowment funds: $31,728,080,000
Change from previous year: 15.1%

Texas is #3 in the nation with over $17 billion in endowment money. Alabama does not rank in the top ten.

Based on what? Less tradition? Worse facilities? What?

Alabama pays their coach more than Texas, Alabama out recruits Texas, Alabama has more tradition than Texas, what makes Texas a better job?

Only Nick Saban can answer that question. His is the only vote that counts. Everything else is vapor.

Texas isn't a worse job. It's a lateral move.

He could go to UT and win another NC. That would be three schools. It would make him the greatest and out of the shadow of the Bear. Texas would have no trouble recruiting and the alumn have far more funds than Bama. I could see it happening but I would not count on it.
