People don't forget, they just fail to acknowledge that Saban runs the entire show at Alabama.

Yeah. That's what's nice about Alabama. They aren't desperate to keep a coordinator on staff like the rest of us. Nick Saban makes his coordinators great, not the other way around like we do at LSU.

Saban is out after this year anyway. He's only got one more shot at the NFL and he is going to take it.

Kiffen is not going to LSU. Sark may go to LSU but more likely Kiffen goes to Oregon - and possibly takes Sark with him or Sark stays at Alabama. Sark is a west coast guy - Kiffen and Sark would make a great nucleus for the Ducks.

Kiffen is going to be a head coach in 2017. Sark will be a coordinator somewhere - maybe LSU - maybe Alabama - probably Oregon.

Dude, why do you think Saban hired Steve Sarkisian?

He's the next OC in waiting, Saban knew this day was coming, and put SS in place.

It's absolutely brilliant.

Kiffin wont need to recruit till dead period but just be named OC. Coach O can say everything Lane needs to say.

The problem with that is nobody can understand what coach 'O' says!

I think Houston would be crazy to not go after Kiffin.

I think Kiffin will coach the NC game in January for Alabama.
But that's just one mans opinion.

If they know they're parting ways after the season, especially going to a division rival, it would make sense for Saban to let him leave now. Keeping him around for the playoffs could potentially be a bad thing.

If that happens, they would be the only program I know of that have gone through significant coaching changes, and improve each of the last three times.

What am I saying? Kiffin is a better coach than the one they just lost to Texas.

Let the rock-throwing commence

His ego will not allow him to miss out coaching n another National Championship game. Period.

What he does after that will NOT hurt BAMA. I honestly think he stays because he would eventually be the successor to God as head coach right?

And who the frick doesn't like winning?

I had asked that question, and the reason I was told is because you have a limit to the number of coaches who can have direct patient contact. He is not limited by what he can do in reviewing film, and making suggestions to staff. If Kiffin leaves, then he can fill the spot he was being groomed for.

It seemed to work out pretty well when he did it with Kirby last season.

Having said that, Sark's been in the program all season so it would be a much easier transition than Kirby leaving and Pruitt coming in from the outside would have been. With a month between the SECCG and first round of the playoffs, I can see where Saban would think it best to go ahead and move forward with the change.
