I am not sure saban would give kiffin permission to leave right now. saban would probably put kiffin on restriction if he did leave.

I could see Saban and Kiffin parting ways after the SECCG. If Lane is ready to move on there is no sense in keeping him on staff.
But he's going to keep him under contract thru the start of the dead period. There's no way he's going to let him recruit for LSU.
