I understand why Les would want to come back to the SEC but Ole Miss will be a dumpster fire whether he coaches there or not.
He's too good for them.
Much less pressure at OM, especially with the sanctions they're facing. He will beat LSU if he goes there, no doubt. Not a big deal to do that, really.
And the melt will be glorious as always.

Good for Les, I would love to see him at Ole Miss.

I find this hard to believe. Ole Miss is a mess and will be for many years.

Would be an awful decision for Les. He won't be able to recruit with the penalties coming to OM and he isn't out scheming anyone.
I like Les as a coach but taking over at OM right now would be a terrible choice.

les miles is absolutely the best thing ole miss could hope for....i doubt that he would take the job, but if he is serious about it, they better get him

But srsly... enjoy it.

He would better than Coach O

I believe whatever salary he gets LSU would still pay the balance to meet the buyout.
A) Make millions having to work, recruit, and answer questions about the situation he inherited at ole miss
B) Make the same millions spending time with his family and fishing
Tough decision

If someone loves coaching it wouldn't be tough at all.

Less miles and OBC to omiss. Media days restored.
For real. That was a boring Media Day week without those two

I would agree if Les was a young rising star coach, but he isn't. He knows the landscape over there, he would have very little expectations, and they would give him full control with his credibility.
Ole Miss would be lucky to have him.

After getting run through the ringer by Alleva I'm sure he's just chomping at the bit to go work for Bjork

Oh come on tRant? One completed pass would be enough.

The only way I could see it is if he only wanted to coach for a few more years. Then he would be able to come in with no expectations and just have fun coaching for a few more years regardless of the record since nobody would expect OM to win much anyway.

Ole Miss doesn't deserve a good guy like Les to come in and clean up their program
Posted on 7/23/17 at 7:13 pm to dawgdayafternoon
Meh. Ole Miss will be bad for a couple years for sure, but unless then NCAA goes nuclear they are still in a fairly decent position financially. They don't have to pay Freeze's buyout so they can afford to pay a good bit.
