You want to make your mascot another school's band?

Why am I not surprised?

Eagle

Not a mascot

You guys may not have an anthropomorphized eagle on the sideline, but you bring a live one to a game and feature it prominently in your most recognizable pregame tradition. It is part of Auburn's identity.

That is the definition of a mascot.

Always thought LSU should be the Gators. Just feel like people identify alligators with Louisiana more so than Florida. Even if there are more gators in Florida.

The Georgia "Surrender Monkeys".

Fight Song (same tune)

We are the surrender monkeys. We are the surrender monkeys.
The Yankees came to town. So we threw out rifles down.
And now we play THEIR song.

I agree.

LSU would also be great as the pronunciation for "snakes" in French:

The LSU "tser-paunts" ("Serpants" in English, as they have alot of snakes in that State as well) would have a nice flair to it on Gameday media telecasts.
