When were this years graduating high school seniors born?

Besides, 2005 isn't arbitrary, it's how far back you can go to still have Vandy with more wins.

For example, State has more wins vs LSU since 2012 than LSU has over Bama. But you can't go further back than that.

Arkansas has more wins vs LSU since 2006 than LSU has over Bama.

It just shows how far back a relative competitiveness goes.

Because to be a rivalry, the other team has to win every now and again. That's not an insult to LSU, I'm just saying.

No insult taken...the truth hurts sometimes. Alabama-LSU has been a compelling matchup for many years, but LSU has not stepped up of late to make it a realistic rivalry game from the Bama side of the equation.

My top rivalries are as follows:

1) Iron Bowl
2) Cocktail Party
3) Egg Bowl
4) TSIO
5) DSOR

Although not a rivalry, I would submit to you that Fla v LSU should be near the top for 2017. It will be at the top most categories. National significance and tradition may be lacking compared to some, but it is a 10 out of 10 for all the other superlatives.

Have to agree with this

TSIO is an afterthought in 2017 and should not make the top 10, it only makes any list b cause of the historical significance

At this moment, LSU-Bama is more heated than TSIO.

How many games in a row have LSU and Bama both been ranked for their late season matchups?

Anyone who does that doesn't know shite about what rivalry means. Iron Bowl and Egg bowl are easily the top two.

Just what exactly has the Egg Bowl done in regards to National or conference titles? Pretty much nothing. This is just a bragging rights game for the state of Mississippi.

Yes, I rivalry Baw. But like I said, when was the last time the egg bowl was the deciding factor or at least a deciding factor in a SEC or National race. Maybe the 40's - earrrrly 60s???????
Dont try and answer my question with a question. Don't work that way.

A statement then. You don't know what rivalry is. Oregon State-Oregon is a great rivalry. Stanford-Oregon is not.

I would put Arky vs LSU over UT vs FL
I actually agree. It may not have the history of some of these others but it has given us some DAMN good football games since it started.

I think this GenghisKhan dude is confused. LSU does not really have an instate rival like Ole Miss / MSU , Alabama / Auburn , FSU / Florida etc etc. His opinion don't mean chit.

LSU/Florida is picking up steam

LSU/OleMiss could be put somewhere around 10 for traditional rivalries but its starting to fall off

How quickly you forget 2014. The Iron Bowl and Egg Bowl both had conference implications that day.

If you have to use another state, then it lessens your point. The Egg Bowl is a rivalry game, I dont think I ever argued that. But it is wayyy down on who gives a shite games in the SEC. Only people that care about this game is the folks from the Magnolia State.
Yankees and west coasters will watch the Iron Bowl, TSIO, LSU-Bama, AU-UGA. Etc. Fans from all over the country watch these games, they KNOW about them. None of those people gives a shite about the frikken egg bowl.
