I am the same way in that the Arkansas game has been a trophy game my whole life as well. Honestly, I like the Arkansas game, but its definitely not a game I get excited for before the season starts.

We have a great series and it has been fairly even with alot of games that are closer than expected going in. Its just when the schedule comes out, we know that if we want to win the SEC, we have to beat Bama, Florida, and Auburn. Those are the games I worry about almost every year. If we win 2 out of those 3 then it becomes, "we have to get past Arkansas". That has proven harder than expected most years, but most times we play Arkansas our fate is kind of already determined.

Our series is very similar to our series with Ole Miss, but for some reason the Ole Miss series just has more hatred involved. I think it primarily has to do with the fact that the older generation of LSU fans all really hate Ole Miss, so we all grew up around it. It sucks to lose both games and it is awesome to win both games, but the fanbases really just don't get along with LSU and Ole Miss.

It's probably 4th on most UGA fans list, but is certainly top 3 for almost everyone that lives in Augusta or anywhere in the River Region - may even be #1 for some of those folks, but a solid 2 for many of them

What do they think it overshadows: Florida, Auburn, or GT?

Have you been to Augusta?

I would say that many folks there have SC over AU & Tech simply because they interact with Gamecocks on a daily basis

Just like Columbus Dawgs have to deal with Aubs daily

Seeing folks from a rival team every day tends to skew your thought process, kind of like some Aubs that live in Atlanta would take a win over us more so than a win over Bama

The biggest and most prestigious rivalry in the SEC is the Borderline War.......Fight.......Spat.....Battle.......whatever that game the day after Thanksgiving is called.

Then why are some AU fans okay with ending the Iron Bowl being played every season to switch to the East?

Wife graduated from GT (physics). Before knowing her I would NEVER have believed how intense the hatred is between UGA and GT.

LSU I don't think have hate for Arkansas. They have hated how much of a frick up miles was coaching against them

UGA-USC is a huge rivalry in the CSRA. Clemson-UGA used to be big too.

Wrong. I live 15 minutes from Augusta and both the UGA and USC alumni as well as fan clubs hold a "Border Bash" every single year. And the crowd is well represented by UGA...not just USC.

The UGA-USC game is a huge deal in the CSRA. Take it from someone who lives here and knows just how big of a deal it is to BOTH schools.
