You might want to weight pre 99 appearances higher. You could also weight SR appearances. Getting the same credit for going 2nQ in a regional vs pushing a game 3 in a super is pretty significant IMO.

I'd add conference regular season titles as well as super regionals (although supers have only been around since 1999). Pre 1999 the tournament also only had 48 teams, so maybe that should be weighed higher

There an echo in here?

Conference titles are a good point to add.

I get the point system, just seems odd.

Both USC and Vandy have done more recently than LSU.

Well then come up with a "Recent Ranking" list. If you are going to rank the programs of "All Time" then titles won recently don't mean anymore than titles won 30 years ago.

For me(past 30 or so years):
1) LSU
2) USCe
3) Miss State

4) Vandy

5+ all have had great seasons. I originally said didnt matter but honestly the SEC has been a pinnacle of greatness for college baseball for years.

In the last 30 years:

Florida:
10 CWS appearances
23 NCAAT Appearances
7 SEC Regular Season Titles
0 National Titles

State:
5 CWS Appearances
23 NCAAT Appearances
3 SEC Regular Season Titles
0 National Titles

Vandy:
3 CWS Appearances
12 NCAAT Appearances
3 SEC Regular Season Titles
1 National Title

You may want to give Vandy a bump because of the one national titles, but if your parameters are consistency, it should be Florida, State, then Vandy, with LSU and USC at #1 and #2 respectively

And for reference on LSU and USC:

USC:
6 CWS Appearances
20 NCAAT Appearances
3 SEC Regular Season Titles
2 National Titles

LSU:
16 CWS Appearances
26 NCAAT Appearances
10 SEC Regular Season Titles
6 National Titles

My ranking would be (over the last 30 years)
1. LSU
2. USC
3. Florida
4. Miss State
5. Vandy
6. Arkansas
7. Georgia (6 CWS, 1 NC, 10 NCAAT, 3 SEC)
8. Alabama (3 CWS, 0 NC, 16 NCAAT, 3 SEC)
9. Ole Miss (1 CWS, 0 NC, 16 NCAAT, 1 SEC)
10. Tennessee (3 CWS, 0 NC, 8 NCAAT, 2 SEC)
11. Auburn (2 CWS, 0 NC, 15 NCAAT, 0 SEC)
12. Kentucky (0 CWS, 0 NC, 6 NCAAT, 0 SEC)

I left off A&M and Missouri given they've only been in the SEC 5 years and it would be hard to weigh them as accurately. Arkansas and USC have been in the SEC 25 years, so it's a little easier. If I had to put A&M somewhere they'd be probably right behind Arkansas. Over the last 30 years A&M has 3 CWS appearances, 22 NCAAT Appearances, and 4 Big 12 regular season titles and 2 SWC Titles.

Arkansas has 6 CWS Appearances, 22 NCAAT Appearances, and 2 SEC and 2 SWC Regukar Season Titles.

Missouri would probably right above Kentucky with 11 NCAAT appearances to Kentucky's 6

Did you intentionally not mention USC's titles?

It seemed to me he was mentioning specifically the accomplishments of teams that rank low in the overall ranking (#9 Vandy, #12 and #13 Auburn and Tennessee). South Carolina ranks #2 in the overall standings, so he probably felt no need to specifically list their accomplishments, presumably for the same reason he didn't mention LSU's six national titles and however many CWS appearances.

Dont take it personal. You didn't mention "all time".

I reference football rankings. Winning a National title, IMO should put you ahead of all those who have zero. Period.

And being recent does matter IMO. Nothing personal.

You are right. Id say Florida could be subbed in for Vandy at 4. Miss State trumps Florida to me due to the fan support there.

Here is the correct rank for the last 18 years.

1 South Carolina
2 LSU

3 Florida

4 Vanderbilt

5 Arkansas
6 Texas A&M
7 Mississippi St
8 Georgia
9 Ole Miss

10 Alabama

11 Tennessee
12 Auburn

13 Kentucky
14 Missouri

How it is weighted:
Regional (0.5)
Regional Final (1.0)
Host (0.5)
Super (2.0)
Super Host (1.0)
CWS (4.0)
CWS Final (4.0)
Ship (8.0)

I disagree. Florida State has never won a CWS title, but I don't think any sane person would rank them below Coastal Carolina.

What an odd time frame. Why?

Football is tough because there isn't really a good way to gauge things between no-bowl and title.

Conference Titles, National Titles, "Big Bowls, etc I guess.

Since 2000 would be my guess, when the tournament changed

But championships DO matter.

I'd say for a schools program to have been founded in 1975 and have more titles that FSU says the opposite.

Coastal is not a bad baseball school at all.

Championships do matter, but they are not a trump card. FSU has 21 CWS Appearances without a national title. That's honestly a statistical anomaly. They've also made the NCAAT 41 straight years, more than any school
