That's a specious argument. You can't compare two different coaches as the same coach and then say that one job is better than the other. You could as easily say that Shula would have won a championship with Tebow. Or that Auburn is better than Texas because they won a Championship in less time with a new coach than Texas did.

I'm not a Notre Dame fan at all but they deserve to be in the top 10 imo. Its an elite job if they have the right coach. They've been going through the same thing for the last 15 years that A&M fans have been claiming as well. Terrible head coaching hires. They shouldn't have been in the MNC this year but Kelly is definitely upgrading their talent level over what it has been for the last decade.

I dunno, I think the top three are interchangeable.

I mean they are pretty similar, it's not like either job it that highly regarded.
*talking about State and Kentucky

The fact that Alabama is not #1 is laughable.
No, it's not.
The fact it's located in Tuscaloosa knocks it down past #3.

Just wanted to point out the credibility of this ranking.
You don't think that pointing out Lexington's desirability over Starkville has credibility? Hell, Commonwealth Stadium holds about 12,000 more fans.

The top 3 should be UGA, LSU, and Ohio St.

I agree. I think what put UT and UF above Bama for the article, was that those 2 schools have a much broader recruiting territory. Texas and Florida are among the best every year in producing talent and I don't think that Alabama HS football is on that level.

Plus the Texas coach makes more money and gets to live in Austin.

A) Mississippi State football attendance is more than Kentucky it doesn't matter if their stadium holds 100,000.
B) If your head wasn't up your arse you would know that we are currently adding on to our stadium.
C) Kentucky football is still irrelevant. I mean when was the last time they even broke the top 25.

UGA/LSU/Ohio St - tradition, support, money, loads of in-state talent, and no legit competition in the state.

ETA: UGA hasn't done shite since like 1980, LSU was a dumpter fire before Nick Saban rescued them.

You can build Jerry World, it still gets dinged for being in Starkville. If you build the equivalent of Commonwealth Stadium in Starkville, it is still more desirable to have the one that sits in Lexington.

See my next post after that one.
And this is pretty funny coming from a USC fan.

Fair enough. I just don't like how static that list always is. If it's been a while for your program, you don't belong in the top 10, and I agree that A&M does not belong in the top 10 right now. Arkansas is way too low IMO by the way. The only thing hurting Ark is the local talent compared to other states. Otherwise, Ark has a damn good fan and financial support with a solid, recognizable brand.

This is exactly why they are ahead of Bama. Recruiting territory means everything.
Arkansas is the perfect example. We have the money, fan support and facilities to be a Top 15 job but we are in an absolutely terrible location when it comes to recruiting terrritory. Fayetteville sits in the NW corner of the state about 30 minutes from both the borders of Oklahoma and Missouri borders. You have to go about 5 hours to the nearest recruiting hotbed due to low instate talent. That alone drops us to the #28 job on this list.
However if you could just relocate Fayetteville to the SW corner of the state and put it 30 minutes from both the borders of Texas and Louisiana then it probably becomes a top 15-20 job overnight.
Location is everything.
