I simply described it as "odd" in the sense that it was a play that doesn't occur often. If that doesn't appear logical to you then you are letting your biases cloud things.

To prove my attempt at objectivity here I'll admit that I though Auburn's pass completion in the first quarter that was ruled incomplete seemed wrong to me and I was surprised that Murray was ruled as getting in the end zone in the fourth (although there didn't seem to be anything on the review to allow for it to be over turned).

what's really amazing is how you Bammers have let your fanhood rationalize how a team that can't win its own god damn division is worthy of a rematch in the national championship game against a team they already lost to in their own stadium.

It really is astounding how you guys have deluded yourselves into thinking that was fair or logical in any way.

The luck that AU got against UGA def was spawned from the fact that they were unlucky on the BS Murray TD. Had the correct call been given, then AU would have taken a knee and ran the clock out.

The reason you shouldn't be so mad is that none of that swill has anything to do with how the BCS worked. Ignorance of the law is no excuse. Have a great day!

Let's start with Bama 2009 and 2011. Then, we will get to the others.

Ok?

2011 was an entirely bogus title.

It worked perfectly in 2007, 2010, and 2013. 2011 is the reason there was such a huge push for a playoff.

That's exactly what someone with no possible rebuttal would say.

The BCS worked so damn well that the backlash from 2011 lead directly to a playoff system. Solid argument, bro.

This is correct that the need for the "miracle" would not have been present absent the blown TD call, but I don't really mind the luck/miracle stuff regarding 2013. It was a crazy year. As long as people don't go too far in trying to take away credit from the team and coaches, who by any account improved unbelievably throughout the year and with even marginally better luck win the BCS title, I'm alright w/ it.

The BCS didn't work. If you lose a home game in November
you shouldn't play for a NC. Add the fact you did not win your division and still get to play in a rematch, the system was flawed.

There is no need for a rebuttal to your lack of knowledge about the the system the game was played under. Some of y'all will be longing for the BCS, flawed as it may have been, after the committee clusterfrick starts. Talk about bitching and whining, prepare thyself..
