Idk what you're talking about. My spelling is just fine, aggy.

It was a 10-year contract, A&M went 6-4. Beat all of one LSU team with a winning record, and lost to an LSU team with a losing record.

No, LSU didn't cancel the contract, it was for 10 games 1986-1995. LSU honored the last three years of the contract even though they had picked up another home-and-home series with another SWC opponent when the SEC expanded and required an additional conference game.
Care to explain why A&M's current OOC schedule sucks so bad, and why y'all ran away from playing Texas OOC?

Sure, but the 1980s is when they had the most success:
1980s: 174 pts; 3 MNC (#2 program during the decade)
1990s: 137 pts; 1 MNC (#7 program during the decade)
2000s: 125 pts; 1 MNC (#9 program during the decade)
Miami could replicate the 2000s again someday. They won't ever replicate the 1980s again.

6 + 4 = 10, you stupid aggie, it was a ten-year contract. What actually happened was that a couple years into the contract, a two year EXTENSION was signed. Before the original 10-year contract was up, LSU informed A&M that they were cancelling the two-year extension due to the expansion of the SEC, and having to play home-and-homes with Arkansas. That's all, LSU upgraded to Arkansas.
The BEAUTY of it is that in the exit clause was that LSU had to provide a suitable replacement team for A&M. LSU put up USL - but aggies didn't complain that they weren't suitable until this happened:
Y'all LOST to USL!

Didn't know Hallman was an Aggie. I knew he had just coached Brett Favre at S. Miss. Then he proceeded to lead LSU to losing seasons for the majority of my college years. Thank god for Shaq.

Wait, y'all TRAVELLED to Lafayette...
...and then LOST to USL, 22-29
In 22 games between USL and LSU, the Cajuns have scored a total of 25 points, fewer than they scored on A&M in their victory over the aggies.
My 80 year old mother wasn't born yet the last time the school in Lafayette scored a touchdown on the Tigers.

Maybe not, but what A&M DID do was cry about how USL wasn't a suitable replacement - AFTER y'all lost.
Stupid aggies.

Listen you dumb Aggie. This myth you nimrods love to perpetuate about LSU cancelling a contract with Aggie is simply ignoring reality.
The reality is that the contract was in its' final year and LSU was forced to free up the weekend scheduled with A&M because the SEC had just expanded and increased the number of SEC games on every teams schedule. In order to accomodate expansion with Arkansas and USCe all SEC teams had to play some SEC games earlier than normal. LSU was forced to start the season with Miss. State in place of A&M.
You dumbasses had another game in place of LSU with La Tech I believe so you had a game that weekend. The money you idiots always whine about was ESPN money which had nothing to do with the LSU/A&M contract as TV revenues were not part of it to begin with.
That being said, as for LSU not wanting to play A&M that ignores the FACT that LSU was the leading proponent for A&M to join the SEC along with Arkansas. It was only because you morons declined to join the SEC and be lap dogs to Texas that LSU and A&M stopped playing. You morons were too chicken shite to join the SEC.
If you wanted to play LSU all you had to do was join the SEC but you nitwits declined. So save your badass fairy tales for somebody who doesn't know any better. Oh by the way, LSU OWNS THE SERIES AND 5 IN A ROW SO STFU. Poor aggie. Wrong again.

So if you nimrods were so wronged and think you were owed something then as the LSU lawyers said at the time, "Go to court."
The contract stipulated that LSU had to make certain you had an opponent. You had one. You had a game. You collected gate receipts and concession money. ESPN had nothing to do with the contract because the game was in College Station and the TV was negotiated between A&M and ESPN. IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH LSU.
Welcome to the SEC. A little late but we are playing you nitwits now every year. Is it working out for you? Boo-hoo. Lol.

agree, but I don't really think that's a major indictment on those programs, CFB is just different now.
Alabama is likely the best cfb program ever but I don't think it's a stretch to say they'll never replicate again what they're currently doing with saban by the time it's all said and done.
The nebraska run of hte 90s, FSU in teh 90s, ND in the late 80s and some 90s, Miami the late 80s-01...it's just not really feasible to duplicate those again.
