How does a team that was #3 5 days ago fall 3 spots after winning by 55 points? If the team was named Texas it would have never happened. Imagine if Miss St won out then got booted by OSU on the last day.

TCU got jumped.

People are acting like TCU was penalized, but it was a case of other teams jumping them

Baylor is the one that got screwed, not TCU

having TCU ranked 3rd last week was the brainfart of the year

Because their conference is trash for changing the rules at the end of the season.

The reasoning will be that they didn't "fall," three other teams "rose." We can argue whether the committee got it right, but the idea itself is fine.

They got it right.

When other teams are putting it on the line playing one more game then Big 12 teams, then they should be rewarded for that IMO.

I also think that they got caught moving FSU to #4 in the hopes that Tech would beat them in the ACC Championship Game and give them a reason to drop them all the way out. They obviously didn't have any respect for them squeaking by all season long even if undefeated. TCU just got caught up in that.

Now you can argue that the committee needs to be more consistent in their weekly ratings. I could agree with that.

B12 deserves to be punished for not having champ game.
Top four have 12+ wins.
TCU/Baylor only had 11.
Technically Baylor was Conf Champ but last in nation on OOC SOS.
B12 will be forced to create champ game.

They didn't fall any spots. The weekly rankings are independent of each other.

What was wrong was that the committee announced their rankings on a weekly basis. No other NCAA post-season selection committee does that. Had they kept "radio silence" up until selection day, there would be a little discussion about OSU vs. the Big XII schools, but you wouldn't have this "how did TCU fall 3 places" argument.

They got the 4 right, but it doesn't mean TCU didn't get screwed. OSU is a big fish they couldn't leave out.

TCU getting that 07 treatment.

Go with 6.

The whole reason to have a committee is to just put the teams in that they want in.

It's a joke.

It will continue to be a joke as long as the selection of teams is subjective.

They played a shitty opponent. On the other hand, FSU, Oregon, OSU and Alabama all played quality opponents and showed why they belonged. To me, number 5 would be Baylor.

How did they "fall" 3 spots though? Just because they played a 2-10 team while others played tougher competition? Bama didn't fall when they played Western Carolina and others played tougher teams. Is that not the same? I understand the no championship argument, and its valid, but I just don't agree with them falling 3 spots.
