All confirmed as being black guys under center at UA.

How is it that none of you people remember Vince Sutton? Started most of his freshman year, and led UA to it's first losing season since the 50's. Later lost the starting position to Mike Shula.

Well I'd agree if Sims didn't get his shot.

He got it, McCarron looked better in game situations when they were splitting time.

Sims looked good at A-day. But you're not about to demoted a QB when he looks good too, and he played the game of his life in the BCS championship game.

Sometimes a guy is just a hair better than you. I'd have been happy if Sims had stayed, and been the starter if McCarron left for the NFL next year or got hurt. I think we'd have been in very good hands.

I don't think that now. I think Sims will do well at UVA if they give him the chance. We'll just have to see how that works out.

Hell no he don't. I'd be the QB at Bama if he figured it was their best shot to win.

I always felt that if a guy has the gut to come from out of state than he shows that he wants to be part of that program....That's atleast what its like with Dak Prescott who got a full scholarship from LSU but chose to go to State

"All plaintiffs aver that the race discrimination practiced against them has been systematic, endemic and reflective of a long-term practice of intentional race discrimination practiced by defendant Auburn University against black employees, especially in the Athletic Department,"

I feel quite sure that CNS is going to play the QB who he thinks has the best opportunity to win games. The QB who has the best opportunity to win games at Alabama under their current regime is not necessarily the most talented.

Plus CNS's talent evaluation >>>>> Philip Sim's HS Coach's talent evaluation

Fwiw, most people at UVA think that the coaches comments were taken out of context. Aot of the recruiting insiders are saying this due to the coach speaking out of character

I bet he wishes he could reel that one back in.

"Hi, I'm a high school coach."

"Neat. What can shite on your career?"

"Well..not much. Bounties for hits. Cheating. Running your dick sucker about the guy who has won 2 out of the last 3 BCSNC...Oh, shite."

Anybody possibly ever consider the new OC just liked AJ better as a game manager? I think Phillip will be much happier developing as an NFL style QB at Virginia before heading into the NFL as a starter.

We don't use gun slinger's in the Saban package the pass is only there to set up the run for Bama ball.

I think this racial crap is pretty silly seeing how 80% of the team is African American.

Prothro took a few snaps under center....

Anyone remember the '04 Iron Bowl when The Great Mike Shula thought it would be genius to put Prothro in at QB when Alabama was in field goal range? During the snap, the ball went sailing over his head for like a loss of 50.

I'll never forget that glorious play. Thank you for providing us with such unforgettable memories, Shula!

My thought exactly.

frick, he'd step over a kid from Bama who was lying in a gutter if he thought he could find someone better behind him.

I can't believe all of the LSU fans on here that have short-term memories concerning Coach Saban. You are on here saying that Saban wouldn't play favorites when he did so at LSU. He played Josh Booty when it was clear to almost everyone that Rohan Davey was the better QB.

Sims had an opportunity to win the job. He just sucked that first game. Didn't he?

let's cut the BS. It had nothing to do with talent, or who was from where. This is 100% a racial issue. No way the "old money" boosters at Alabama would allow an African American to be their starting QB.

I'm hoping my sarcasm meter needs to be fixed.

That's quality trolling when it's the truth.
