I know this probably isn't true for other positions, but it might be for the QB position. Anybody agree with this coach if the QBs are pretty even?

Hudson Mason disagrees and Clint Mosley will disagree in September.

Does anyone really think Saban gives a damn about which state one of his players is from?

Did that guy even bother watching the Kent State and North Texas games when Phillip Sims got his shot to compete for the job? A.J. comprehensively outplayed Sims in both games.

Saban wants to win...I doubt if he cares if QB is from Alaska.

This, and, for those that have played the race card, do you think Saban would let someone tell him he couldn't play a QB because of his race even if he was the better QB?

I'm not saying Bama hasn't had problems in years gone by, but, I don't believe for a second that Saban would put up with that.

Saban wants to win games. PS had his chance to shine and he didn't. Good luck to him at UVA.

Since Saban is from Alabama and cares more about state pride than winning football games this is obviously true

Has Alabama ever had a black QB? I'm guessing they have

This is 100% a racial issue. No way the "old money" boosters at Alabama would allow an African American to be their starting QB.

Yeah, I'm sure the well just dried completely up when Andrew Zow was starting.
