Calm down, it's an article with a little teaser at the end of a post

I'm not sure SC should be a good barometer, considering Lambert set an NCAA record by going 24/25 against that secondary.

Tom Brady? Jesus this is SEC QBs, not one of the greatest QBs to ever play the game. Scale it back some.

Is he better than expected? Yeah. I didn't really expect much at all out of harris but he's performed admirably and done what needs to be done to win ballgames. But don't act like he's tom brady, or even one of hte best handful of QBs in the league. He isn't.

The stats say he is one of the best QBs in the league. The stats do not lie. He has played extremely well all season. He has 0 INT in those 6 games, you forgot to mention.

there's more to a QB than just turnovers.

I didn't imply otherwise.

No one has coined him as the next Tom Brady But he's played well enough the last 2 games to keep the defense honest, which is exactly where he needed to be at this point in the year with November coming up.

Which ones? The fact that he has 0 interceptions? Great, neither does Dak. Dak also has more TDs.

Harris isn't at the top of any statistical category other than lack of interceptions, which is certainly very important. But he doesn't throw very often, doesn't complete a ton of those throws, doesn't throw for many yards a game, and hasn't had to.

You're not shitting on him, just comparing him to fricking Hutson Mason?

Did you even read the OP?

He is PFF's top rated QB in the SEC.
ESPN has him as the #3 QB in the SEC in Total QBR.

You don't have to throw for 300 yards and 3 TD a game to be considered good, in his limited opportunities he has cashed in despite not having great receiver play (tons of drops).

Is comparing him to Mason "shitting" on him?

Mason's QBR was 10th in the nation last year. According to this thread, that's really really important.

Transitive properties. They don't work. I could not care less how Lambert looked vs SC. All I know is LSU's young QB picked them apart.

But if you want a good measuring stick, UF has one of the best secondaries in the country and he looked great.

I can agree with this. He has done better than many expected, IMO.

Of course LF is going to get his vs Alabama. He's a monster. Though I do feel very confident that UA will not lose to Buga by himself. I think Brandon is going to have to play the best game of his career to get the win on the road against probably the best D in the country. Can he do that? I have no clue. I guess it's possible. I just don't see it. LSU's strengths play directly into the strength of Alabama's defense. We matchup very favorable with the Tigers. I just don't see Harris beating us. Although It wouldn't be the first time an average QB played out of his mind to beat the Tide.

sigh....

No, I used a previous QB to point out how ONE statistical category doesn't paint the whole picture. Not sure how it's even possible to have missed that.

Just watch the video. It's not like he has one or two lucky passes.

He is throwing 40 yard handoffs. He throws an undefendable fade to the highest jumper in the SEC, maybe country. His throws resemble laser beams.

you're really attempting to downplay this huh? It's a pretty big deal to be at the halfway point and not thrown a pick. Ask Aggy how they feel about INTs.

And? Have you seen their formula for ranking?

They also have Jalen Hurd as the 10th best RB in America this season. Would you agree with that?

I said on here that he's a first round type of talent and people laughed. He is 6'3", has a cannon, is decently mobile, is pretty accurate, and has shown good poise. Doesn't turn it over. He had a bit of a windup but supposedly corrected it in the offseason and he does seem to be getting rid of it quicker. I could see him having a 3,000 and 20 TD type season his senior year. He will never put up video game numbers like a Big 12 or aTm type QB due to our system, but that's alright. I think having Cameron work with him is going to be better for his development anyway.
