UK/Cal cheats just like Bama cheats. Some programs are just willing to fork out the most money for the most success.

It's always been that way, hasn't it? I never understand why some fans get so damn pissed about cheating, over-signing, processing players, etc.......

I pay good money to be entertained, and I want to see competitive team take the field/court. Anthony Grant can't get it done - I wanted him replaced last season.

If you're a fan of a program that refuses to up the ante and get the best product available then you should STFU about that specific teams means of acquiring their success and learn to deal with it.

Wow, every player cited in the article denied saying what he was quoted as saying. Normally, I would be skeptical of that but knowing, over a lifetime, what big hacks work at the Lexington Herald-Leader, it doesn't surprise me at all. If all this was going on and they had all this evidence, then why wasn't UK even cited for violations by the NCAA for all this stuff? They weren't, even though the NCAA was looking for anyway possible to get UK, and that speaks volumns

Son, if you don't understand his is where the NCAA makes all their money, and why UNC was not placed on probation for he scandal of the century, then I cant help you.

Cal and Kansas, UNC etc. all besides Duke pays AAU coaches to guide players to their programs.

The NCAA could wipe this out by out lawing any AAU player from getting a scholarship.

He's an excellent coach. He got good players to come to Memphis and UMass.

This is what opposing fans cannot accept. ON the telecast last Saturday when UK went 25-0 they said this was the 5th time a Cal coached team had won 25 straight...

As Larry the Cable Guy says that's pretty dam good - I don't care who you are.

I agree with all of this and that everyone cheats, however some cheat a hell of a lot more than others and that is why they eventually get their arse caught!!!!

Very few can calibrate the machine well enough to keep the winning % up AND keep the NCAA looking elsewhere. IMO, the age and experience Calipari & Saban bring to the game, coupled with UA/UK branding is what takes them over the top and keep them consistant.

The worst enemy of the UK Athletics program is the LHL. I know other universities bemoan their local rags, but the LHL has to be one of the most offensive "supporters" of UK.

The Three Stooges - Mark Story, John Clay and Jerry Tipton - are far more diligent in their pursuit of UK than the NCAA ever was.

Was one of them on hot pursuit when BCG got fired? That famous vid with him faking being on the phone was epic. Chasing him down the hall LMAO.

To my knowledge, there have been 0 allegations or suspicious activities that have come to surface out of UK during his tenure.

The allegations/findings are never made public while Calipari is at the school. They seem to come to the surface right after he leaves:

Cal coached at UMASS from 88-96 - after he left, the NCAA investigated UMASS because Marcus Camby accepted $40,000. They vacated UMASS' 1996 NCAA Tournament wins.

Cal coached at Memphis from '00-'09 - After he left the NCAA investigated Derrick Rose has someone else take his SAT. Memphis had to vacate their entire '07-'08 season (in which they finished as NCAA runner-up).

Stuff will arise at Kentucky about a week after Calipari has bolted back to the NBA.

Willing to bet stuff will come out with Donnie at UT before Cal.

You Vol fans are like my buddy who follows UT from Nashville. Squawking like y'all how Cal was going to get UK in trouble 5 years ago…lets say that noise stop when Pearl left in shame.

Keep hating haters.

And the NCAA will do nothing except maybe vacate a few wins, possibly their NC, which they have plenty to donate and then they'll move on and hire whoever they want.

Whats the point of bitching? Oh yea, they have Cal and you wound up with Thumb Guy as your coach, who has as much baggage as Cal, just not nearly as many wins.
