We have been much better about that the last 2 years. Hopefully that continues.

Auburn's been in a nice situation though, they haven't had too deal with this situation yet. Although didn't Chizik cut/kick off a number of guys when he first got to Auburn?

Personally I don't love oversigning, and am glad we didn't sign a huge class this year. But I'm a hypocrite, I used to cut people left and right on NCAA Football.

No, Coleman, Paige, and Lanier never qualified. Jacobs went to MLB.

Yeah I was talking about kicked off the team. Not guys that didn't qualify.

Whatever, I'm sure Alahunter will have the pertinent information

Yes! Oversigning!

Why does auburn have so many kids that don't qualify? Do they just recruit dumb kids, or is it something else? I know it can't be that they can't fit them all.

Was a problem under Tubs. He signed too many that could not qualify, went JUCO, then ended up elsewhere and never played at AU.

And we are a couple under 85 right now and will not have any forced cuts again.

Bama on the other hand.....

How many have to be cut? Last I saw it looks like 12 have to go in the next several months.

Nope. The selective copy and paste he does is from an article a few years ago that includes guys all the way back to the 2006 class. It is pretty pathetic.

Alahunter is pretty biased. Thank God we have impartial people like you around to even things out

The guys that left were certainly not "cut" by Chiz due in any way shape or form to oversigning. Chiz started his first season with 72 scholarship players.

I don't know, he had some neck problems but he also passed out or something at a practice and didn't take part for a while. There are people who know more about it than I do.

to be fair I probably shouldn't have said he passed out as I don't know for sure if he literally passed out or not. He had some major "heat-related" issues and didn't practice for a while. That's all I know, there are some who might know more.

Ok, I have a question then. I honestly don't know the answer, but I have a good guess.

How many of these fake medical scholarship players have transferred so they could play football somewhere else?

The way I always saw it is if he's cutting people they would have the option to transfer or the option to take a medical hardship and stay on and finish the degree. I don't know why we don't just have more transfers and less medical hardships. I don't argue that we don't oversign, sure we do, but maybe there are more legit injuries than people act like there are.

Can you transfer and play somewhere else after taking a medical hardship?

I'm not as obsessed about this as TiM, I don't know how all this works.
