FTR, I don't care about over signing, but it is annoying when people misrepresent the issue or facts intentionally just to support their favorite team. Bama fans know that Saban cuts players to make room for new players, why try to argue the point? It is not against the rules, yet.

That is 10% of those numbers since 2006.

They all have one thing in common...none of then ever stepped foot on AU's campus for fall practice.

I am sure every school can do the same.

Andy Staples needs to do his homework.

Numbers are useless before we find out who qualifies and who did not.

I like how Auburn fans are justifying their oversigning as if Bama has never signed any guys that didn't enroll.

So Au just doesn't admitt the extras to school. That's worse than giving out a medical scholarships to make room. If Au wouldn't have signed them then they could've gone somewhere else that would've at least let them in school and given them a chance. Damn Au is pathetic the way it treats prospectice Studen/Athletes. Let the best ones in and tell the so so ones take a hike after it's to late .. Damn

I think the point is that if you look at the numbers.. well.. it paints Auburn in a better light. Hell, it paints the entire SEC in a better light.

Doesn't help that spacewrangler is doing nothing but trolling either

Let me know how many AU players were cut after signing day to make room for the new recruits coming in.

What does? The fact that Alabama has actually signed fewer players than half the SEC?

WDE24, I haven't seen anybody deny that Alabama does it. The facts of this article and number of signings prove it. It's absurd that almost every thread on the subject on this board is hating on Alabama when we are dead in the middle of the SEC. Clearly most SEC schools are cutting people for whatever reason because it's impossible to sign that amount of players and only have 85 without cutting some. Nobody's saying Alabama doesn't do it, we're just calling yall out for the hypocrites you are.

And yea it's great you give kids scholarships but when you realize you have too many you don't let them on campus. That's so much better

Auburn is the only school too that has kids go to the MLB,etc. and not get to campus too for the record. So, they're legit but everybody else oversigning gets a

Again.. you're looking at raw numbers outside of context. Look at how Alabama lines up in enrolled rankings and I can guarantee you that you're right there with the rest of us.

Auburn signs 30 kids a year, 5 do not qualify, and never enroll. (Enrolls 25 per year, signed 150 kids over 5 years)

Alabama signs 26 kids a year, 1 does not qualify and cannot enroll. (Enrolls 25 per year, signed 130 kids over 5 years)

Both teams are at 25 kids a year. Just as an example. Auburn signed 20 more kids over a 5 year period.. yet they enrolled the same amount, which is what matters. Looking at the # of players signed is absolutely retarded.

Why does auburn have so many kids that don't qualify? Do they just recruit dumb kids, or is it something else? I know it can't be that they can't fit them all.

Tubervilles recruiting mantra.

At teh beginning of the 2009 season, AU had only 72 players on scholarship because so many never qualified.

That's my point, AU hasn't done that (yet), because we had so many never make it in or not be able to stay in that we haven't had anywhere need the 85 max number for several years now. That should all change next year, so we will see if AU does the same thing Bama has been doing.

They aren't academically eligible out of high school and can't make up the work in time, some go pro in baseball, some get into drugs and trouble, one of them rapes his cousin with a plunger, etc.

Auburn does take a lot of grade risks though.

Is it our fault that recruits don't want to go to lower class (anyone but SEC) schools. When you are the best, its hard to be modest.
