The point of expansion is to survive, be one of the last conferences standing. For schools in the scramble it's musical chair, don't be left without a chair.
That said, 10 was perfect but 12 got us a championship game and that has been a great thing - has not hendered our ability to win championships with a plus one game like many thought.

I for one thought 12 was perfect. I love it when we go to Athens and Gainesville. We used to go once every five years. And I also love going to Nashville, since it's 45 minutes from my house. BTW...people complaining about Bama's schedule ignore the fact that while we skipped Georgia, we we also skipped our turn to play in Nashville. Now we have to add a trip to fricking Columbia, Missouri into the rotation. And some in this thread suggesting adding ECU? WTF??? Add a trip to Greenville fricking South Carolina into the rotation? Hell no.

Well, hell, since we seem to be talking about adding every fricking school east of the Rockies, how about the University of West Alabama...only 20 miles from Cuba (AL).
