Good to hear, you've been missed! I guess I was too for a while though.

That's Melvin Booker in your avi, isn't it? I sure hope his son follows in his black and gold footsteps.

No more watching Johnny Football being honored on the Texas House floor while the politicians neglect doing actual work, hallelujah.

The Lege has done that every session since statehood.

SEC is going to do what it has to do in this uncertain environment

I believe this has everything to do with it. Maybe the conference has a vision of future things that other schools/conferences will do as far as alignments, etc. The SEC is trying to stay a step ahead to remain on top as they have in the past couple of decades. I have no idea and I'm not arguing with the OP's point, just speculating

Dude, get real, the Dallas Morining News doesn't write shite about the SEC and none of the local shows do either. They will write about A&M, but that is it. Conference USA gets way better coverage. I know they have 3 teams in Texas, but 2 of them are in Houston and they all suck.

Yep that is Melvin, but only because Reggie Smith avis are too hard to come by.

I hope young Devin follows Daddy Booker here as well, but the simple and sad fact is if you look across the board, legacies following their parents footsteps to the same school in major college sports is actually pretty rare. I'm mostly content with the fact that despite being offered and courted by the likes of Kentucky, North Carolina and Duke, Devin Booker is very clearly NOT considering kansas, which just goes to show that Melvin is a truly OUTSTANDING parent. Outstanding.

Today in their hard working redistricting special session, the Texas House convened for 10 minutes, announced they would hold some committee hearings later on, and then adjourned for two weeks. Don't strain yourselves there, boys.

Of course, that was 100% more work than the Senate put in, while Lt Governor Dewhurst is currently over vacationing in France. Err, I mean, honoring the armed forces members who fought at Normandy. While touring France with his wife.

We've learned that a couple times in the past few years.

Howdy

And for the record I think 12 is better than 14 and 16 is better than 14.

And we're not cutting 2 teams.

I was happy with the 12 team conference. Adding two more teams wasn't needed. Adding any more teams is definitely not necessary.

I despise the expansion. schools in Texas or Yankee states have no business being in the Southeastern Conference. might as well invite University of Southern California or University of Hawaii.

Its time to start new traditions, you boys are still stuck with these old rivalries where the rest of the country is moving on with new rivalries and traditions. Nothing is forever, GUMPS! You'll see when Satan leaves you in the dust!
