Agree, or anyone from the big 12. Only consideration should come from the states of NC or VA.

Nobody from NC is coming unless they are named East Carolina.

The VA schools would be a package deal and UVA ain't coming.

Nothing wrong with TCU and Baylor joining if the Big 12 goes up in flames

There is plenty wrong with it. They bring nothing to the table in terms of what drives realignment. Those two will never be added to the SEC. This isn't a charity, and that's exactly what adding them would be.

They better hope like hell that the Big 12 stabilizes, because they could very well be fricked if it implodes.

I'm just glad none of these morons suggesting, TCU,wvu, osu are going to have anything to do with expansion.

It floors me that so many lack even a basic understanding of what drives expansion.

I don't see the SEC expanding because the attractive candidates aren't moving from the ACC.

None of these schools will join the SEC.

NCST would think about it for 46 seconds and then stay in the ACC.

I'd love to see Okla and Okla State come in. WEST SEC Missouri, A&M, Arky, LSU, Ok, Ok State, Ole Miss and Miss State... Send Bama and Auburn to the East. They are both more naturally aligned with Florida, GA and TN than with the Miss schools...

The SEC shouldn't and won't go after any Big 12 teams, but if it blows up, the dynamics of things change. That means the ACC has officially won it's spot as the 4th big boy making it even less likely to get anyone out of there.

Because of GOR it's probably going to take the conference completely dissolving for any moves to be made. The only way anyone moves is if 8 move at the same time and I don't see the other conferences taking leftovers to save OU and UTa and strengthen whatever conference they go to.

Even when GOR expires in 10 years, The SEC's options to the west are limited because of little brothers and redundancy. A pipe dream for if some how teams split up would be any 2 out of OU who is a take alone, Kansas who is respectable alone, and UTa who would be a take alone more as defensive move to pretty much lock up Texas. Anyone else just wouldn't be worth it and none of the 3 takes are worth it they have to bring a friend.

If Slive were to just pick up the phone and call them out of the blue, I think you're right. However, the one scenario where I could see the ACC coming apart is if, when their current grant of rights is getting close to expiring, the Big Ten makes a serious run at adding two to four schools (I know--that number is ridiculous, but Jim Delaney has said they could go as high as 20, believe it or not). Say Delaney got Georgia Tech and UVA on board (and I don't believe that UVA and VT are really tied at the hip--UVA was just coerced into getting VT an ACC invitation when it looks like VT was going to be hung out to dry), and then told UNC to pick a partner and come along. UNC would have a decision to make, and the schools that didn't go to the Big Ten would be looking for an alternative. I don't think this is real likely, but it's something that Delaney would absolutely like to see happen, so you can't rule it out (he's gotten the Big Ten to do something as stupid as adding Rutgers, after all--the man knows how to get his members to do what he wants).

Gotta think the SEC will expand East, if at all.

But, the OP is suggesting that the Big 12 explodes (not another conference). And let's just start with the premise that nobody wants Texas.

Oklahoma is the best program left and would be a natural rival to A&M, Mizzou, and Arky.

After that, it is either go east to WVU or grab Okie State in a twofer. As a positive to WVU, they would balance the East-West with OU.

I like the idea of grabbing OU and OSU and moving Auburn to the East. Make Bama decide if they want to play us or UT every year. No Iron Bowl, we pick MSU as our permanent from the West.

I think some of the ACC schools would absolutely listen to the B1G if the right situation arose.

If the money gap continues to grow all of them will listen to the B1G or SEC under the right situation. As much snobbery as they Portray, I think the last thing NC wants is NC state in the SEC. Va might be a different story with Va Tech though, they may not care.

Now Now Jesus don't be getting on a high horse. What have we REALLY brought to the SEC?? If you get to the SECCG and loss then you are in 2nd place. And what did Ricky Bobby say about 2nd place??

Basketball we have brought nothing and will not bring anything for a couple of more years. Except for Women's Volleyball last year the non revenue sports have been bad.

Missouri is still and probably always will be a Pro Sports state. The East side loves the Cardinals and the West side loves the Chefs (sorry but I love that old commercial)

The best thing that could happen for Missouri to make a big contribution to the SEC is for the Rams to move and STL not to get another NFL team. Half of that money that was going to STL on Sundays would now go to Columbia on Saturdays. The extra revenue would upgrade facilities and maybe get some of the other sports programs going.

So Jesus there is no reason to be a 3yr snob. We were and still in that boat.
