How hard will the melt be? Personally, I hope they lay the hammer down.

No they could have. But they've royally fricked this up from the start. Firing Freeze sooner, would have helped a lot, but they fricked that up too.

Then you heard someone talking straight out their arse.

Not one soul knows what they will get. The COI just met as a group and got all the arguments yesterday. They very likely haven't even had time to digest it all, much less broach the topic of punishments.

I do find it interesting that none of the sunshine pumpers have released stories proclaiming how their 'sources' told them the meeting went great for OM.....

From the Ole Miss scout and Rivals boards, they said yesterday went extremely well for Ole Kiss in front of the COI and that Leo Lewis had some tough moments with NCAA...Now who knows if that matters or not. The COI could lay the hammer. No tweets from Wolken and Forde yet pumping NCAA is a good sign for Ole Miss as well. Although we could easily just be grasping for straws

Haven't they been wrong most of the time on this issue, so far?

At the same time they were reporting this, the same sources went out on a limb and said basically, "this is what we hear. Probably shouldn't take it for truth. Because the COI spent a portion of the hearing warning that no one is to talk to any media outside. But, we were still told this by our sources. Who apparently couldn't talk to anyone that was actually in the hearings. Soooooooo, we are gonna stay on the fence about this. But there's a reason for hope guys!"

and that Leo Lewis had some tough moments with NCAA..
Except that he testified on Monday. So there's that ...... But, I am sure they are factual with the rest of their report

I've said from the beginning it's going to be a 3 year bowl ban (probably including 2017) and 4-5 scholarships per year for 5 years. That's not the death sentence that most are hoping for, but losing that much quality depth is enough to plant you in the cellar of the SEC for a good 5 or 6 years.

That's pretty much a slap on the wrist considering how much time and effort the NCAA has put into this.

I honestly wouldn't doubt it with the way the NCAA has handled UNC and Baylor, but I feel like we may have poked the sleeping bear with this one. Hugh is an idiot for pushing them into a corner, basically saying you don't have shite on us.

I'm glad he is gone, most in the administration are glad as well, totally different person "behind closed doors"

Idioms and such

Anything less than three year bowl ban, five years on probation, loss of 12 scholarships a year and a show cause for lots of people will be a victory

If the NCAA spends all this time and has uncovered all these issues and then just slaps the wrist (especially seeing as how ole miss has had a history of BS like this going back to the Brewer days) then it will send a message to other schools that they are not serious about it. I look for OM to be made an example of.
