Alabama lost its best coach to UGA.
Nah, we retained Saban. And Cochran. And hired away UGA's best coach.

Maybe we can actually beat Ole Miss now

Turn the corner, out the window... same thing, right?

I'm also 100% happy to take our current arrangement. Drop one to Ole Miss, win the SEC and make the playoffs. I'll take that deal every year

How's it worked out for Mississippi State?

We're 25-13 over the last 3 years and you guys are 26-12. I believe we finished ahead of you in the SEC West 2 out of 3 of those. Let's hang a banner and print some shirts.

We're just playing catchup really. Hoping to find some momentum like the Dawgs.

Apologies for stating facts. Now feel free to resume your annual "wait until next year" party.

Here's some more fun, valuable facts.

Dan Mullen is 1-3 against Hugh Freeze and has a massive losing deficit against SEC West opponents.

No further questions. The defense rests.

Campus, sans Grove, is not beautiful. I can see where 5*'s would be attracted to Rowan Oak and the Literary crowd in town. Maybe that's the secret.

Only an aggie could come to love another team that so resembles what they accomplish every year. Nothing. But they do sound realllly good, all those 5 stars and all. Another mid season NC team on the horizon looks like to me.

So you are saying if you can beat State, you're in position to win the West. I see.

BTW, I think the Nkemdeche boys are in the drive-thru needing their prescriptions filled.

We're getting better as a program. Hopefully, we're following the Clemson model - recruit on a higher level, have good seasons, learn what it takes to be a championship program and then take the next step.

Its easier said than done. So far, so good. We may take a step back next year but I doubt we'll fall off a cliff. The future looks bright.

I know this is the spot for smack talk more than football analysis, but I think objectively anyone has to be impressed with what Freeze has done in four years taking over a 2-10 football team.

He has definitely done a good job. I still question his ability to develop players. With all the highly rated recruits he's pulled in, there really hasn't seemed to be that much development by them in their time at Ole Miss beyond what comes with natural physical maturity. I think he still needs to makes some upgrades on his coaching staff before you guys can get to the next level. We're on the opposite end of the spectrum. Our guys can develop them, but we have to consistently improve the baseline of the talent we're bringing in before we can get there.

If a (3) loss season this year, serious arse whippin from TCU last year bowl game is impressive, OK? Hang another banner.
