Hope he recovers. At least he can finally remove himself from that gigantic shitstorm in Missouri.

In this case, it is best to take him at his word, imo.

Struggling with health issues and the social and athletic issues all at the same time would seem like a lot to have to deal with...

Suck it Mizzou. Your school is the scourge of the SEC, the sooner you implode and get replaced by Tulane the better.

I just assumed it was because of your stupid students.

I haven't kept up, what happened from the students outside of player protests and boycotts??

But I also know this shitty arse situation probably expedited him retiring.

The was a radio interview early this week after everything broke and the radio host was asking all kinds of tough questions to Pinkel. Did he support Wolfe leaving? Was this the goal? Does he have white privileges? Etc. it was very uncomfortable and you could tell Pinkel did not want to be there.

I think he realized that his future was going to be one giant copy of that radio show, and he wanted nothing to do with it. Who could blame him?

Color me skeptical about the health reasons. He wanted out of COMO and this is an easy way to leave with dignity

Honestly, I don't take him as the kind of guy to Meyer up some "health issues" just to get out. The school would've likely accepted his resignation if it was just simply "frick this shite" related.

I just hope for his sake the stress of this and this season hasn't made managing his cancer worse.

Pulling a "Meyer" does not seem like his style.

He was always underrated as a coach, got way more out of Missouri than most coaches would.

If he's been dealing with lymphoma I can understand his focus being elsewhere and this season going to hell (and the team going to hell too).

He's got better things to in life than worrying about that trainwreck.

I think it's the opposite. His performance this year is reminiscent of his performance in 2012 when he was going through a divorce. I think the health concerns have driven his performance. Not vice versa.

Sad for Pinkel, but I hope Saban retires too.

I hope in a few years these entitled pieces of shite grow up and are embarrassed about how idiotic they behaved.

I can almost guarantee you none of them are even remotely capable of feeling shame.

They are spoiled, narcissistic, brats who think the entire world revolves around their every opinion.
