I hope those protesters feel like shite. Guy probably just wanted to coach his last season out and retire with some dignity.

Pinkel and Rhoades are discussing a role that would keep him associated with Mizzou Athletics once he steps away from coaching duties.
It sucks to hear that it is due to health reasons, but he has to be at least a bit relieved to be stepping away from this shite show, right?

This is a victory for them.
They will say it's not lymphoma, it's "too much white privilege."

There are some successful CFB Coaches that are about to punch a lottery ticket.

Guarantee that the next coach is black, and not by coincidence.

Health related but knows the competitive end is near for the Mizzou football program. So I guess everybody was right when they said yall would be bottom dwellers soon. Good luck.

This might drive the price up for the other schools to get the best coaches, but no big time coach on the way up will go to Missouri and deal with this shite.

Yup. I really feel sorry for him. These fricking pieces of shite festering on our campus turned on him after he pandered to him. It's truly shameful.
Above all of that though. I hope he enjoys good health in the future.

All the social justice warriors were probably giving him heart pain

How long until the Mizzouians claim his bad health as victory for their social cause

TIL: Larrythegolfer is Pinkel's son.

I hate to hear that. Hopefully, Coach Pinkel makes a full recovery.

Color me skeptical about the health reasons. He wanted out of COMO and this is an easy way to leave with dignity

I'm legit, 100% asking the missouri folks....has he expressed any health concerns before? I"m not saying he's lying by any means, I just don't really keep up with other coach's health statuses.
It seems strange the timing though. Not a peep is said about anything at all health related, then missouri turns itself into a national laughing stock with football players going on strike and making demands of the administration, now he's unwell. Idk.

I forget who posted it but he was diagnosed last May and was receiving treatment and managing/maintaining.
I don't doubt it's the cancer. But I also know this shitty arse situation probably expedited him retiring. frick everything about this.

The guy who drew the poop swastika is literally losing his shite right now

Come on man. This shite show happens and all of the sudden now he wants to step down for health reasons? It may very well be part of it, but if this doesn't happen, Pinkel would not be announcing this right now.
Hope he recovers of course.
Who cares? When you finally feel like you can't do it anymore, it's time to go. His health problems, the protests (they've known about this time of stuff for a while), and the losses that are probably a part of both, plus his returning starter QB going through a complete collapse, then recruiting, etc, etc.
It just got too big to handle.
