Decent list 1987. I know you didn't write it :)
I would maybe have included Andrew Whitworth, Marquise Hill and possibly even Devery.
Reed could easily be a lot higher. He was a prolific player.
I found it interesting that only 1 LSU player was ranked #1 at his position, and Bama players were almost universally ranked ahead of LSU players in each position grouping. Though it didn't shock me that they hadbit that way. It's what they believe :)

This isn't about the draft and the article says it
Good to know for the next Henry/booger debate.

Fournette
Relative to the OP, if he had played for Saban...

Even with the 2-game difference, Coop still averaged more receptions per game...
They were both great receivers...when guys are that close, it's easy to manipulate stats to put my/your favorite in a better light...LSU guys will favor Reed and Bama guys will favor Coop...same thing happens when discussing Henry and Fournette...

They weren't deserving.

yeah Reed had 14 reception for 239 yards and 2 TDs in the Sugar Bowl. That would have given him 108 receptions for 1979 yards and 11 TDs in 13 games. If you take the per game averages counting bowl game for Reed:
Reed
8.3 rpg
152.2 ypg
18.3 ypr
0.84 TDpg
Cooper
8.9 rpg
123.4 ypg
13.9 ypr
1.2 TDpg
LSU also had Michael Clayton that finished the year (including bowl stats) with 874 yards and 6 TDs. Alabama's second leading receiver in 2014 only had 504 yards and 4 TDs. Cooper also played in one more game and had two additional games counted in his official yearly totals

1. College performance under Saban (NOTE: players who reached peak performance after Saban left Michigan State or LSU — ex. Charles Rogers, LaRon Landry and Dwayne Bowe — do not qualify)
2. Big-game moments/winning pedigree
3. All-conference and All-American recognition
4. Trophies and awards
5. NFL draft position
#5 clearly states they used NFL draft position as criteria.

Not sure what you're arguing here, all I mentioned in my post is that Coop still averaged more receptions per game so I'm puzzled why you said he didn't. Last time I checked, 8.9 > 8.3, so yes, Coop averaged more receptions per game...

I'd probably have better results talking to a blind deaf mute than trying to talk to some of these LSU fans.

How many rings did Reed win ? Winning pedigree
Where did Reed go in the draft? NFL draft position

Sure it is...he got 124 receptions in one season and that's currently the single season SEC record. How can that be bad?

Julio is an NFL megastar, Cooper is on his way. Reed never did anything.

I can agree with you there...I think Coop should be a little lower than 1 and I think Reed should be a little higher than 9...

I know. I just wanted to show you how much better receivers Julio and Coop are than Reed was.
