Fair enough. I think if I was ranking the top CFB QB of last 20 years it would go

Cam
Mariota
Tebow
RGIII
Luck
JFF

I want to see where Watson finishes before I put him above some of those guys.

I would have figured by now that most self-respecting Alabama fans would have left message boards all together.
What, are you here to gloat about how great A.J. McCarron is?
I left self-respect in a bottle of Maker's Mark many years ago. And you'll never see me gloat about an Alabama QB that was nothing more than a "game manager."

It's cool to laugh at Tebow now, but Tebow was a dominant CFB player.

He beat us in 2008 with his arm. He made some incredible throws in the 4th quarter to win the SECCG.

That was a lot of Urban Meyer doing there. Otherwise, Tebow would have done well in the NFl and not been a flunkie.

Urban did a damn good job of giving Tebow a system he could work within...and work within he did. Very well. Dude was like a fullback who could throw the rock a bit. Impossible to stop on 3rd and 5. So in that sense, he was probably just as good as Cam. Forgot all about that career loser.

Yea, I agree. Like you said earlier, people now seem to have totally forgotten what an incredible college football player Tim Tebow was. It's like the whole NFL argument that he won games but wasn't any good has now been applied to his years at Florida too. Which is insane.

RGIII and Manziel are both NFL flunkies. I still think they should be on this list because they were elite college QBs.

People can not differentiate NFL and CFB it seems.

Mariota possibly.

I'd say Manziel maybe but Manziel didn't have the wins like Watson and Mariota.

I wouldn't rank any of these guys ahead of somebody like Teddy Bridgewater.

And you have a short memory for a "20 year" perspective.

Where do we put Colt McCoy on this list? I mean as a CFB QB he was damn good. He is a journeyman in the NFL.

I think that RG3 was a damn good player. Eventually would have been at the pro level as well. But he was reckless. Relied on his legs a bit too much and believed that his talent was a bit better than it really was. Result? Screwed up legs. He had ALL the tools. Just needed a better coach in college. (we're only just now seeing Art Briles's true colors, mind you)...
Manziel? Jesus, that kid was doomed from the start. But was Manziel a better college player than Deshaun? Bet your sweet arse he was. Kid was the best I've seen yet. Besides maybe Matt Jones.

Seriously? I mean, he was a really good college QB, but ahead of Tebow, RGIII, Luck and JFF?

Aaron Rodgers was a beast for Cal.
One of the best collegiate performers I've seen. But he did it all as a traditional quarterback.

Teddy Bridgewater was not as dominant or as good as the guys I listed.

Next you are going to try to say that we should put Bradford ahead of someone like Brad Smith.

Manziel would be the only one I can think of that comes close. The NCG against Clemson was a helluva game, but was so frustrating because our defense pretty much nailed their assignments and Watson still made plays.

Except for the fact that his problem is now that he can't make the throws (and was a problem from the start). His legs were a huge asset, but even if he still had those he'd be in trouble because he isn't a pinpoint passer.

I saw both in person in their signature games of their career. They were extremely similar. Manziel did more creative, WTF is happening stuff, Watson made more WTF how do you defend that throw stuff.

All the people saying Manziel and sleeping on Mariota, why?

I haven't read all three pages, just a question.

Mariota has been included in that group of 4-6 guys.
