Gonna have to disagree there. He's great, or at least the 5-6 games I've seen him play he's been great.

Shut up, Clemson fan.

But on the level, ya'll, Matt Jones had the potential to be every bit as good as Cam Newton. He was just squandered by a fu(king retard of a coach (Houston Nutt). Dude was the best runner of all these guys we are talking about, and if his coach had had a lick of sense, he could have been a good to really good passer as well. Matt Jones was the OG dual threat QB.

Watson is kinda a system warrior, you have to admit. Props to Dabo for maximizing his talent kinda like Gus did with Nick Marshall and promptly failed to do with Jeremy Johnson and Sean White.

Great Examples of what?

I do not think he is great, we throw that term around loosely lately. He is very good though. I think Cam, Tebow, Mariota, and RGII are a class above Watson.

Watson, Luck, JFF, and VY is that second category.

Then there are people like Wilson, Leinhart, Murray, Stafford.

Cam is the most dominant football player to ever play in the SEC. Johnny comes in a few notches below that. Watson is a beast too. Clemson wouldn't be a top 5 team without him.

Malik Zaire is not half the athlete nor QB Watson is.

So much wrong in this statement. Matt Jones was able to flourish because of what Nutt did. Do not let the Stephens Media influence you.

I don't think this thread is about woulda/shoulda/coulda QBs and retard coaches that didn't have the sense to use their talent.

Start another thread about Hootie's wasted talent.

Yet your team still failed. Failed to win a championship, failed at life in general. Thus the plight of an Aggy I guess. Only championships count.

So much Tebow hate still exists. Tim Tebow is arguably the best CFB QB since 1990. The stats bear it out.

I would have figured by now that most self-respecting Alabama fans would have left message boards all together.
What, are you here to gloat about how great A.J. McCarron is?

Of other dominant QB's in CFB since Cam.

See, I'd put Watson in that category. I think his passing skills are better than all 4 of those guys and his feet are very very good. Cam and Tebow were more of pound guys who could also run and Mariota and RGIII had track star skills.

It's cool to laugh at Tebow now, but Tebow was a dominant CFB player.

He beat us in 2008 with his arm. He made some incredible throws in the 4th quarter to win the SECCG.

Why is that

AJ was a very very good college QB.

He is not in the same category as the guys we are discussing.
