Why would Gus put him up there?

This is supposed to be a week/weekend about your program and outlook on the season, not a TMZ circus for the off the field problems.

ETA: Gus will face the music for him like a coach should and Nick will have his chance next time he talks on the plains.

Gus excels at coach speak...he will make a statement , not answer the first two questions about it and move on. Ifthe media does not, then I see a Nick Saban "appreciate your interest" type of departure.

What time does this start anyway? Seems like someone has usually started a thread with the schedule by this point. You'd be a good starter of that, chop chop.

I never used the word hate- I prefer dislike. Secondly, it's Monday and I'm starting the work week off nice. Thirdly, I thought I was helping you get your thread quota for the week going but never mind...

My understanding is that representing the team at SEC media days is a privilege. Marshall has had that privilege revoked. I see both sides of this coin though. Not going to SEC Media days smacks of a Jay Jacobs thing though.

Exactly. Your team leaders and upperclassmen go to represent your school. He did not set a good example or prove his leadership off the field, so his chance to be in the spotlight has been revoked. I still expect him to miss some game time also.

NM not being there is about tge positive image of the program, sort of camouflaging the whole incident. Football is a team sport. When one (NM) puts his needs and desires above the team, then the whole team suffers. Gus new when he second chanced these players, that this could happen. He's just enabling NM to do this again. I'm a great believer, that facing up to consequences, makes you more responsible and becomes a lesson learned.

Not only did NM let the team down, Gus let NM down.

So Johnny Manziel can face the media but Nick Marshall can't? Malzahn is such a pussy.

Manziel couldn't even stay in the game against Gus, come on.

So he didn't score the TD to put A&M up 41-38?

He didn't get horse-collared at the end?

And that was a fricking 3 ring circus. Why should Gus want to create that kind of atmosphere? To appease some journalists looking for a juicy story?
