I guarantee Clay Travis will still get an awful pot-related question in, whether Marshall is present or not.

If you don't think it's going to be brought up at the media days I don't know what to tell you. If you also don't think it would look better if he answered the questions instead of his coach deflecting with some one liner about how we're handling it internally etc etc. I also don't know what to tell you. That or we clearly have different principles.
This isn't a flame either. Handle it like a man and be done with it. Because it will be brought up. For better or worse. By him not coming all you do is create another story line for the media. Be calm, cool and collective with the speech. Handle it maturely and professionally and it's over with. Or at the very least you've done all that you can do.

How in the world did you infer that. I'm just interested in how it's not behind him. Go or not it's an issue. Hell it's really the only juicy story that guys who have to fill up full pages have to talk about.
I'm not interested in how it looks. Putting on a dog and pony show isn't going to reduce his culpability or fulfill his punishment that auburn will hand out to auburns player.
I get that people want their pound of flesh but that still doesn't answer my question of is it not behind him?
Nick addressing his coaching staff and team makes him no less a man (also it's not his choice about going so the character judgement on being there or not seems at best misguided) than if he sat up there for a "do you see the season going up in smoke" quip from some blogger.

You would hope so. Then again after he got kicked out of UGA for being a thief -- you hope he doesn't do something like getting caught smoking bud 7 weeks before the season starts. Except that he does, like a dumb arse.
Hopefully he has put it behind him. That doesn't mean the media isn't going to grill him for it. Whether you want to admit it or not, him going up there and showing remorse for what he did on a national scale speaks significantly for both him, his coach, and his University for the way they handled it. You can put what ever spin on it you want. You've got your principles and I've got mine. I think it's a cop out. You don't. That's fine.

Personally I'm disappointed, I want to hear him speak that language he spoke to tracy wolfson after whatever game that was. I want to translate it to english and sell it to aubies

Everybody loses. He would have supplied us two solid weeks of fun here on the SECr.
Everybody here should be pissed at him

I see people being taken down something ferocious for way less than Nick had on Cops Reloaded

I'm not the one making the decision so my principles have nothing to do with it.
I just don't see how going to sec media days is the event that puts it behind him. I would think the way he responds to coaches and teammates would matter more. Could he grow from going up there and having question after question hurled at him about how he could be so stupid, sure, could he also learn from this event without doing that, absolutely.
