I love the snow pic. Such a unique view of Auburn a long time ago.

It really is great for many reasons. Dumb question: Does Auburn get much snow or is it super-rare? We usually get a little bit of snow every year but I figured being further South y'all don't get as much.

Gotcha. I figured it was rare but no harm in asking - weather can be weird.

Penn State. Tennessee opened at Georgia Tech but this was Penn State's opener.Oddly enough the played each other to END the season.Tennessee won the night game, 28-21 and the year before, 31-11.The losses to Tennessee were the only regular season losses Penn State had in 1971 and 1972.

These were my Dad's JR and SR years at UT and he tells me this factoid/story literally monthly!

Haha, I was hoping I was gonna be the one to post it but you beat me!

Did he tell you about a similar scheduling deal with Maryland a couple of years later? In 1974 UT and Maryland played in the Liberty Bowl. Then they turned around and opened the 1975 season at Neyland. Both Tennessee wins.

7 in a row board.

Don't be starting a thread on something that belongs to Alabama. We pay property tax on that hole.

There is one in every crowd. A pretty decent thread with multi-schools and then someone has to pee in the punch.

West stands (right side on top 2 pictures) are going to be completely demolished and rebuilt. The new facade also has to be finished on that side.

Is this during construction that was stopped for the season, or did they really build the upper deck like that then add on years later?

I never saw an answer to your question, but, based upon the photo below, I'm going to assume that they stopped where they did because going any further would have required removal of the railroad track that appears in the photo, below (which, I assume, eventually happened).

Historically, it is really rare, however it has probably snowed 4 or 5 times in the last 7 years or so. Not much, except for the big storm that hit this past year, but enough to stick.

Insecure because your stadium has very little history due to playing at Legion all those years? Imagine that, an insecure gump has to overcompensate and act like a halfwit............a tale as old as time.

Give it a break. This poster constantly flames this board. I don't feel the least bit bad over flaming this thread.

The west side is the next to be renovated, it's the side many visitors see. The parts that are already done are really nice

Agreed. the new concourses look great, like an NFL stadium. That's something LSU needs to imitate in its next remodel.
